The Deities of Death are the minor villains in the movie The Invincible Iron Man. They were the ones who helped the Mandarin destroy china and grant him his powers. They were also the ones who created the Demon Elementals.
History
In 1000 BC, the Deities once heard that China was ruled by the Mandarin who was afraid of dying because he wanted to continue his empire. So, a temple was built for him, but it wasn't enough.
He made a deal with the deities that required the deaths of the people in his kingdom. To help him kill them, the deities gave him the Demon Elementals who helped him destroy the Chinese Empire. The gave the deities his people's souls. In return, the Deities of Death gave him five rings that gave him unlimited powers. For the Demon Elementals, they were turned into statues, waiting until their master summons them again.
