Villain Overview

Delilah, also known as Agent 9-L, is one of the secondary antagonists in the American animated series Krypto the Superdog, who made her debut in the "Feline Fatale" episode. Along with Snooky Wookums, she is one of Mechanikat's feline agents in the TV show, who aids him in his evil plans. Unlike her companions, Delilah prefers to approach her opponents' using surprises whenever possible.

Her main enemies include: Streaky the Supercat, Krypto the Superdog, and Stretch-O-Mutt. She initially tried to charm Andrea Sussman in the episode "Feline Fatale", which wound up with enmity between each other. Even so, Delilah did show Andrea respect as a cunning opponent in the episode "Andrea Finds Out". Agent 9-L isn't shown tackling the rest of the Dog Star Patrol.

She was voiced by Kathleen Barr, who also voiced Isis, Kevin, from Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Queen Chrysalis and Trixie Lulamoon in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Biography[]

Origins[]

The TV series does not give any hints about Delilah's life prior to her premiere appearance and after the episode "Solar Specs". It is only shown that she works as Mechanikat's agent with Snooky Wookums and that she considers the blue cat as her rival.

Krypto the Superdog[]

Season 1[]

Feline Fatale[]

Delilah is sent with a mission against Krypto the Superdog and Streaky. She manages to sneak into Andrea Sussman's house and take an advantage of the fact Streaky refused to play dress-up with Andrea. With a little work, she manages to push Streaky from his house - first, she wins Andrea's heart and takes over Streaky's place in the house. When Streaky is forced to abandon Andrea's bedroom and his own sleeping basket, Delilah frames him into tearing curtains in the living room, which infuriates Andrea's mother. Streaky's attempt to reclaim his position is stymied by a frutti di mare soup Delilah innocently presents him. It turns out the soup was for Andrea's mother, which ends up with Streaky, being cast from his house for good.

Being secure of her newly established position, Agent 9L prepares the disintegrator ray to take out Krypto once and for all, being promised a new mouse toy by Mechanikat. The plan goes wrong, as Andrea managed to find out, that Delilah did frame Streaky with tearing curtains and eating the soup, by spotting glitter on both crime places. When Andrea announces she is about to have Delilah taken away, Streaky manages to take the disintegrator ray from the evil cat, though not without complications. Delilah manages to reclaim the weapon and show Streaky its potential. Before Streaky is shot with the ray, Krypto appears from the sky and shatters the disintegrator.

Delilah attempts to flee, but she ends up inside a trash can, locked by Streaky.

Furry Fish[]

Once again, Mechanikat sends Delilah for a mission on Earth - this time to rob sand from the bottom of the sea as resource for kitty litter. This attempt is thwarted by Streaky, who has fallen into water current emitted by the mechanical crab Delilah is operating. Agent 9L attempts to dispatch Streaky and his dolphin companion using the crab's pincers, both without success.

Streaky lures Delilah into a cavern and into sharks loitering around a shipwreck. Having encountered the sharks, Agent 9L ejects herself with stolen sand. Krypto manages to cut the sand net, which infuriates Delilah. As she chases him inside the escape pod, a killer whale smacks the pod Delilah is handling and she lands on a waste barge.

Season 2[]

Andrea Finds Out[]

This time Delilah is assisting Mechanikat in controlling his mud monster, which was sent to capture Krypto and Streaky using stolen minerals.

Agent 9L doesn't do much throughout the episode, she mostly stands behind Mechanikat, compliments him, mentions that Andrea is a cunning opponent, and finally, she gives Mechanikat a bowl of milk, which turns out to have expired.

Solar Specs[]

At the beginning of the episode, Delilah assists Mechanikat in receiving Krypto and Streaky, who are said to be captured by Snooky's mechanical cats (in fact, Stretch-O-Mutt shapeshifted himself to look like one of those). After the heroes split up and Stretchy discovers Delilah's bedroom, she enters it, unaware of the intruder, who shapeshifted into a chair. While attempting to adjust her makeup, she hears a voice she doesn't recognize, thus she jumps from her chair and sets a combat pose with exposed claws. Stretch-O-Mutt cheats Agent 9L once again, by shapeshifting into Mechanikat and successfully cheating Delilah. Snooky Wookums, who appears suddenly, also manages to believe in the bluff. The canine shapeshifter abandons the cats and keeps exploring the spaceship. Delilah does notice, that "Mechanikat" is acting weirdly, but Snooky doesn't take this into consideration.

Agent 9L appears again in Mechanikat's room, where Stretch-o-Mutt concealed himself as a jukebox. Stretchy manages to shapeshift himself into Snooky and break the cat's talk, which stresses Delilah. Agent 9L remains suspicious, asking the one who looks like Snooky, if he gained weight. Mechanikat doesn't take Delilah's remarks and takes the cats into the ship's bridge.

At the bridge, Delilah is helping her master and false "Snooky" at the console, where true Snooky Wookums appears and Stretch-o-Mutt's camouflage is broken. The spy manages to damage the ship controls, which weakens the ray deflectors. Delilah is seen abandoning her position, before Stretchy hits her in his bouncy form, then she escapes with other cats into an escape pod, which also turns out to be Stretch-o-Mutt in disguise.

Appearance[]

In all the episodes, where Delilah appears, she is depicted as a quite pretty female cat with light, blonde-colored fur, green eyes with black irises and violet eye shadow, a mole on her left cheek, a white belly area, and a thick bushy tail nearly as long as her torso. Her outfit changes between seasons:

  • She wears a plain violet collar in Season 1, supplemented by a white-with pink ribbon bonnet in "Feline Fatale".
  • Throughout Season 2, Delilah changes her violet collar for a two-tone pink set of a skullcap, a half-cuirass, and a belt.

The notable difference is that Delilah's head in Season 2 becomes more rounder than in Season 1.
