The Delta are the main antagonists of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: The Final Season. They are a group of raiders who kidnap other survivors to fight in their war with another community.
History[]
Background[]
The Delta community formed shortly after the outbreak. Then they kidnapped several survivors to turn them into fighters and participate in a war. Their base is presumably located near the Ohio River judging by the use of the ship SS Stewarts Fitzgerald in which they keep prisoners. Lilly, who was part of a group, eventually joined the Delta and became one of its leaders.
At some point, they discovered the existence of the Ericson boarding school and threatened leader Marlon into handing over two children from the group to them in exchange for safety. The sisters Sophie and Minerva therefore lived with the Delta and Minerva began to adapt to this new life. However, Sophie wanted to run away and in a vain attempt to get away, Minerva killed her in order to keep her place in the Delta.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season[]
After being kicked out of boarding school, Clementine and Alvin Jr. come across Lilly and Abel looking for Marlon. Clementine reveals to them that he is dead and Lilly immediately recognizes the girl. After a cold reunion, Lilly reveals that she wants to kidnap all the kids from boarding school and tries to convince Clementine to join her. The discussion is interrupted by the arrival of Louis and Violet and Clementine takes the opportunity to flee with AJ.
For weeks, the Delta organizes to attack the boarding school while the child survivors prepare to repel them. In the evening, all the children hide while Lilly's group enters the boarding school. Clementine confronts them and a fight quickly breaks out. Mitch, one of the children is killed while the rest take refuge in the building where there are several traps. During the battle, Clem fights against Abel and the two fall from the top of a balcony. Afterwards, the raiders retreat and Clementine chooses between saving Louis or Violet. After which, the boarding school is left upside down and Abel, abandoned by the group, will be tied up and interrogated.
The next day, he gives several information about the Delta after being tortured or not and asks Clementine to kill him before his resuscitation in a Walker. Later in the episode, Clem and the remaining group of kids go to the river where the ship is moored. They manage to slip aboard in order to save their kidnapped friends and Clem kills several Delta members. After being briefly imprisoned, Clementine goes to the deck of the ship and confronts Lilly with the option of having AJ kill her or spare her. Whatever she does, the ship explodes because of the bomb placed in the boiler room. The remaining members of the Delta are devoured by the undead and only Minerva, and Lilly if spared, are left alive. It would seem that the organization is dissolved after that, if there were no other members in the group.
