Demolishor is a reliable, if somewhat unintelligent, Decepticon who loyally serves under Megatron, and is a major antagonist of Transformers Armada and Transformers Energon.

He was voiced by Alvin Sanders, who voiced King Sombra in the ninth season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Biography[]

Transformers Armada[]

Demolishor, alongside Starscream, came to Earth to assist Megatron in attacking the Autobots. After being joined by Cyclonus, Demolishor and Cyclonus would often work together as a team. When Thrust joined their ranks, Demolisher starts to dislike the tactician's arrogant attitude.

The Unicron Battles[]

Towards the end of the series, Demolishor gains a new colour scheme thanks to the Mini-Cons, and sides with the Autobots following Starscream's death as well as assisting Hot Shot. During their first mission with Hotshot and Sideswipe, Demolisher took off with his partner Blackout to inspect any weak points, only to be seperated during Unicron's overaching transformation. Demolisher is forced to get help from the autobots to help find Blackout, but Cyclonus getting under fire by Unicron's defenses, forced them to change goals. Hotshot eventually discovers Blackout and gives him back to Hotshot, spechless by an autobot helping his partner depsite their past experiences. He analyzed Unicron's weak spot which is found on his neck. Later Demolisher is one of the few to object firing at Unicron who was already shut down afterwards, but commanded by Hotshot, goes with the others to fire at Unicron. Demolisher was last seen spotting Optimus Prime and Megatron fighting, and continued firing at Unicron.

Transformers Energon[]

Working with Autobots[]

Following Megatron and Unicron's apparent destruction, The alliance between Autobots and Decepticons continued. For ten years, they rebuilt Cybertron and allied with humans. Demolisher worked with the Autobots on Earth.

Rejoining Megatron[]

Demolisher saw Galvatron, now Megatron leading a army of Terrorcons. The Decepticon leader orders him to blast the door. Demolisher hesistated and the Megatron goads him into attacking him. Then Demolisher turns around and destroys the door instead. He rejoins the Decepticons.

Revival[]

Megatron revives Demolisher but in a new body that made him act like a dumb ape. Since then he became a comic relief just like Snowcat, they continue to serve Megatron until he becomes Galvatron and plunges himself into Primus's sun, leaving the two alone to ponder what else to do with their lives.

Megatron would once again return in the follow up series Transformers: Cybertron, however Demolisher and Cyclonus did not return, leaving their fates unknown.

Personality[]

In Armada and early episodes Energon it is shown Demolisher is a fiercely loyal combatant of the Decepticon Empire, he serves Megatron's goals, almost without question, but there are some cases from he acts guliable and careless during some missions, during one of the early episodes, showcasing a more sadistic side of him where he captures one of the special team minicons, even mentioning to Hotshot of his human friends whereabouts in a dark joke that he devoured them. Because of Demolisher's experience serving Megatron, it is almost more of a tragic tale for the Decepticon, as in Energon, he often has second thoughts or regrets of joining forces with the autobots, but still favored them as his friends, and has a very neglectful on and off path when believing the rumors of Megatron's return, only to be forced back into Megatron and his ranks when he actually returns from the brink of death. After sacrificing himself to save Megatron in Go For Unicron, he was wiped of any trace of honor, emotion or shame. As Megatron rendered him an unstable beast upon rebuilding his damaged spark, but only after Megatron/Galvatron plunged himself into the sun, did he find his life questionable, indicating his old self still lingers now that his one and true leader and savior had died.

This Demolishor has little resemblance to his main counterpart aside from name

Aligned Universe[]

A version of Demolishor heavily inspired by the Unicron Trilogy character was added as a DLC for War for Cybertron. He made a cameo in Fall of Cybertron as part of the Decepticon army, fleeing in his tank mode after their defeat.

Trivia[]

  • Armada Demolishor's Powerlinx colors is based on G1 Ironhide's color scheme while his Powerlinx colors in Energon was based on the G1 constructicons.
  • According to Aaron Archer, Demolisher would have died for good after Go For Unicron, and would've been reincarnated as Long Haul hence the Dump Truck design resembling him, and his no brainer like personality.
  • Following the Energon War, Demolisher and Cyclonus were the only original founding members of the decepticon roster from Armada to not return to the follow up series, Cybertron. However Demolisher did return to Planet Cybertron (according to a toy bio), regaining his old armada body, and his mentality was cured as well and only served under the Decepticon cause for his own reasons, no longer a servant of Megatron.
