The Demon Bull King, otherwise known as D. B. K, is one of the main antagonists of the Lego Monkie Kid series. He is the scourge of the Netherworld and the archenemy of the Monkey King.
He was voiced by Steve Blum, who also voiced the Mayor and the Huntsman in the same series.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Sometime in the past, the Demon Bull King joined the Brotherhood as he was inspired by Monkey King and his courage to stand up to the Jade Emperor, planning on overthrowing the Celestial Host and have a better ruler that can flourish the lives of those who reside in the mortal realm. He joined them on their assault on the Celestial Realm, but he soon fell in love with a Celestial Maiden named Princess Iron Fan when he faced her off.
Following the aftermath, the Demon Bull King left the Brotherhood, abandoning their cause to marry Princess Iron Fan and conceived Red Son. He later left the Netherworld and destroyed a village. He was soon stopped by the Monkey King, who imprisoned him in a mountain.
Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born[]
Five hundred years after his defeat, Red Son freed the Demon Bull King, though the Demon Bull King believed that Princess Iron Fan freed him. Shortly thereafter, MK accidentally fell on top of Red Son, revealing his presence among the Demon Bull Family. The Demon Bull King wanted to kill MK, but Red Son insisted on doing it himself to show his father how strong he'd become. When MK escaped with the Monkey King's staff, the Demon Bull King swore revenge on him. Later, at the Flaming Foundry, the Demon Bull King was given special armor that allowed him to absorb energy and amplify his power. He and Red Son proceeded to raid items from various stores and absorb them to increase his energy. Princess Iron Fan gave the Demon Bull King the Monkey King's golden staff, giving him even more power.
As the Demon Bull King began to take over the city, MK arrived and engaged in a battle with him. When MK went inside the Demon Bull King's armor and retrieved the golden staff, the Demon Bull King was overpowered. MK tried to imprison the Demon Bull King, but he knocked MK into a building. MK then created the Monkey King Warrior Mech and defeated the Demon Bull King. However, he and Red Son were rescued by Princess Iron Fan at the last minute.
Season 1[]
One week after his initial defeat, the Demon Bull King took his anger out by destroying parts of the Flaming Foundry until Princess Iron Fan calmed him down. Red Son promised to get the Demon Bull King the power he deserved, but he let his father down when he was defeated by MK.
Later, when the Bull Clones discovered a tomb and the Skeleton Key that opened it, the Demon Bull King and the rest of the Bull Family entered the tomb. Inside the tomb, the Demon Bull King and his clones were possessed by a strange blue spirit (later revealed to be Lady Bone Demon).
Season 2[]
After the battle, the Demon Bull King and his family renounced their malevolent ways. Red Son proposed that they start anew as street food vendors. However, during the New Year's festivities, the Shoe Store Assistant was frightened upon discovering that the manager was the Demon Bull King, prompting him to flee. Red Son expressed his disappointment with the Demon Bull King's behavior, citing that it was detrimental to their business. Despite this, the Demon Bull King remained resolute in his refusal to be ridiculed, even after renouncing his evil conduct. Their conversation was cut short by the arrival of the spider mech, which destroyed their stall and captured the Demon Bull King. Upon regaining consciousness, the Demon Bull King discovered himself ensnared in spider webs. He struggled to extricate himself as the Spider Queen revealed herself. The Demon Bull King expressed disbelief at having been defeated by the self-proclaimed "Queen of Spiders."
The Spider Queen corrected him, asserting her title as the Spider Queen, while he was merely a battery for the spider mech, like all the other demons she had captured. The Demon Bull King grew concerned for Princess Iron Fan, but the Spider Queen assured him that she had not yet captured her. However, she revealed that she had apprehended Monkey King. Despite his anger towards Monkey King, the Demon Bull King attempted to break free from his restraints. Syntax and Huntsman arrived with news about Red Son, whom the Demon Bull King dismissed as useless. When Huntsman disclosed that Red Son had escaped, the Demon Bull King expressed confidence in his abilities. During a conversation between Monkey King and the Demon Bull King, the latter expressed dissatisfaction with his capture and blamed Monkey King for giving Spider Queen the power to do so. Monkey King responded playfully, suggesting that he was Spider Queen's favorite, which led to his own capture. The Demon Bull King weakened until Monkey King mentioned his concern for Princess Iron Fan's safety, which infuriated him. However, his anger caused him to break free from the webs. Monkey King taunted him about Red Son's fate, further enraging him.
The Demon Bull King eventually released Monkey King, revealing that he was going to find Red Son. He then declared his independence and sided with the Monkie Kids, freeing Red Son from the webs. Following their victory over the Spider Queen, MK and Monkey King found themselves hurtling towards the ground. However, their descent was halted by the timely intervention of the Demon Bull King, who caught them both just as the spider mech exploded. MK expressed his gratitude to the Demon Bull King for his heroic act. The trio then observed the aurora lights illuminating the sky. Later, while gathered on a rooftop, Mei recounted Red Son's bravery to the Demon Bull King. Red Son requested that his father keep the day's events a secret from Princess Iron Fan, which the Demon Bull King agreed to before escorting Red Son away.

During an ambush by the Brotherhood, the Demon Bull King and his family were targeted in an attempt to persuade him to join their second assault on the Celestial Realm. However, the Demon Bull King expressed his disapproval of the Brotherhood's cause, stating that it had changed Azure Lion and even led him to threaten the safety of the Demon Bull King's family. The Demon Bull King attentively listened to Azure Lion's account of his past, saying that his affection for Princess Iron Fan had made him sentimental. However, when Azure Lion mentioned his wife, the Demon Bull King became incensed and admonished him not to speak or even look at her. The Demon Bull King's fury intensified as Azure Lion spoke, causing him to grow in size and launch an attack on the Brotherhood in an attempt to rescue his family. However, this left him open to attack, and Azure Lion was able to strike him with the Scroll of Memory. While Princess Iron Fan attempted to block the attack, she was struck by one of the planks and imprisoned within the scroll. Despite his efforts to retaliate, the Demon Bull King was struck by another plank, and as Red Son called out to him, he was pulled into the scroll, calling for his son as he disappeared.
After the conclusive confrontation between the Monkie Kids and the Brotherhood, the Demon Bull King and his family were liberated from the Scroll of Memory. In a show of solidarity, the Demon Bull Family joined the Monkie Kids and Monkey King in a beach party at Flower Fruit Mountain to commemorate their triumph.
