Demons are the main characters of the adult animated series Hazbin Hotel and its spin-off series Helluva Boss. They are a species of supernatural creatures who reside in Hell and are known to indulge in sinful acts, such as murder or drug trafficking with most of their leadership, specifically the Seven Deadly Sins, Overlords, the Ars Goetia being based on their religious counterparts.
All Demons are categorized in Hell’s hierarchy, with the most powerful being on top with the least being on the bottom, such as Overlords and Imps.
Appearance[]
Many demons come in various shapes and sizes with many of them being based on animals, humanoids or objects, it has been stated that their blood is colored differently from human blood with it either being pink, green or any other color.
In the episode“C.H.E.R.U.B”, it is shown that a demon’s appearance references their original death, such as the case with Lyle Lipton (who was crushed by a piano with his teeth resembling piano keys as a demon sinner).
Imps are shown to be red, with them resembling more traditional demons, It is also shown that the white spots most of them possess comes from injuries with them. Imps also either have striped horns, with male imps having black stripes more prominent than female imps, as the female imps have thin white stripe on their black horns.
Most of the Ars Goetia are shown to so far be bird-like in appearance.

The series begins with the recent extermination having ended, showing Sinners, Overlords, Lucifer (albeit in shadow), and Charlie for the very first time, after a disastrous interview at 666 News, Charlie, Vaggie and Angel return to the hotel with Alastor, the infamous “Radio Demon” showing up, offering his services and after getting into a short fight with Sir Pentious, the group returns to the hotel with Alastor changing the name of the sign from “Happy Hotel” to “Hazbin Hotel”.

Helluva Boss[]
The Helluva Boss pilot focuses on the I.M.P crew, which includes: Blitzø, Moxxie, Millie, and their hellhound Loona (who is Blitzo's adopted daughter), as the four of them manage their company with Blitz and Loona teasing Moxxie. After they accidentally shoot a child named Eddie, the imps rush the kid to the hospital until they’re kicked out. After a few disagreements, arguing, and even a perverted phone call from Blitzo’s acquaintance, Stolas, the four of them find out that Eddie was their target all along, with Blitzo shooting and killing the boy, before the Imp trio would kick down Eddie's corpse. Later, Blitzo and Moxxie disposing off his body by cutting it into pieces. Blitzo embraces a group hug of his entire crew, including his daughter. Blitzo would then throw a bag that containing Eddie’s body parts to Eddie's mother, who has been crying and begging for someone to find her child.

Personality[]
Many demons are shown to be profane and crude with most of them shown swearing and making sexual jokes, demons, such as Valentino and Angel Dust, are also mostly concerned with sexual matters with several others watching pornography and being sexually excited.
Many deal maker-type demons are shown to be clever, such as Alastor. (who convinces Charlie to let him help her by giving her own employees, such as Husk and Niffty, with it being possible that the other Overlords are like this.)
They are also shown to be sadistic with many of them enjoying the suffering of humans and their enemies, despite this however, there are some who are good and have morals. Like Charlie, and Angel Dust. This is because in spite of all the bad they do, demons are not all inherently evil. As some of them capable of feeling, guilt, remorse, empathy and sympathy, love, depression, and can even cry.
Some, such as Blitzo, are implied to feel guilt for their crimes and want love or redemption. But Hell's political system tries to keep them away from doing so, as it influences and urges them towards evil.
