Dennis McField, spelled Dennis Mackfield in the Japanese version, is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. He is an exchange student from the Leo Institute of Dueling School for the Performing Arts (Broadway campus in the Japanese version) and belongs to the Xyz Summon course. In reality he is associated with the Duel Academy from the Fusion Dimension. He is a former member of the Lancers.
Story[]
Dennis truly enjoys being an entertainer, and seems to like spending time with his fellow Lancers. Nevertheless, he is loyal to his dimension's cause and despite knowing the consequences, he green-lit the Invasion of the Xyz Dimension after discovering Lulu.
Despite this, he showed noticeable annoyance and anger at Shay for "taking off his mask" as the Duel progressed, and after being forced into a corner, Dennis reveals his true colors and his usual cheerful tone becomes more maniacal while declaring it a "Hunting Game".
His true colors are revealed to everyone with his turbo duel with Shay in the Synchro Dimension tournament when he fusion summons Chaos Ancient Gear Giant. A monster card that was used to destroy Heartland in the XYZ Dimension. This enraged Shay and he used his monster’s effect to decrease the attack of Chaos Ancient Gear Giant as they are only immune to spells and traps. Dennis loses the duel and is almost killed by Shay, but security stops him. He was later sent back to the Fusion Dimension by Sora.
After his final defeat, he is approached by Yusho, who says that his Duel brought a lot of smiles, and he can bring more if he rejoins the Lancers. Dennis, feeling guilty for his betrayal against the Lancers, refused. But he is still a good loser, fulfilling Kite's demand as well as Rin's location. As per his loss, he cannot return to the Professor, he ask them to tell Yuya that his time in Lancher was fun, he show them one last entertaining as illusion by carding himself, in a way he commit suicide.
After Zarc's Defeat, during the Arc League Championship, Dennis, now freed of His card faced Yuya in the XYZ Dimension for entertainment, and was defeated. He was later summon to the Pendulum Dimension to witness Ray Akaba revive as Zuzu.

Duel Link is in some way treat as sequel to Arc-V and Vrains as characters from both series remember everything in anime contary to previous world, after the end of Arc-V anime story. Dennis try to make up for what he has done to XYZ dimension by dueltaining. Player can unlock him and his card by playing his event. While some of his support cards need to be pull from Boxes and some currently only available if you play event, player can get his ace monster, Performage Trapeze Magician simply by level up him.
