~ Dennis to Daniel.

Dennis de Guzman is a supporting antagonist in The Karate Kid Part III and Season 6 of the YouTube Red/Netflix series Cobra Kai.

He is Terry Silver's strong, but silent enforcer that worked alongside Snake and Mike Barnes to torment Daniel LaRusso. Years later, Dennis would resurface to serve the Iron Dragons during the Sekai Taikai, being responsible for the brief kidnapping of LaRusso.

He is portrayed by William Christopher Ford.

Biography[]

The Karate Kid Part III[]

Dennis is first being called down by Terry Silver along with Snake when Mike Barnes arrives at his home. He is basically assigned by Silver to assist in Mike Barnes' training to humiliate Daniel LaRusso at the All Valley Karate Tournament. That night, he and Snake, alongside Mike Barnes, infiltrate Mr. Miyagi's Little Trees to force Daniel into signing the application to enter the tournament, which Daniel refuses to do as he has no reasons to fight. As a result, Dennis begin trashing the shop, before getting into a brief fight with Daniel. However, Dennis is easily beaten by Daniel before they are forced to flee when Mr. Miyagi arrives.

Dennis, Snake, and Mike Barnes later find Daniel and Jessica in a cliff, trying to retrieve a bonsai tree that they plan on selling. When they retrieve the tree, Barnes helps Snake and Dennis retract the climbing ropes and forces Daniel to sign the application, which he does despite going against it. As Daniel demands Dennis, Snake, and Mike to help them get back up, Barnes was still able to break the bonsai tree.

Dennis is last seen training at the Cobra Kai Dojo right before the tournament and is seen in a sparring match against Mike, which he loses.

Cobra Kai[]

Although unseen, Dennis is serving Silver again during the events of the fifth season. On Silver's orders, he burned down Mike Barnes' furniture store.

Dennis reappears in the sixth season, where he had been recruited by Silver for his plans. He appears to have little knowledge of karate, as he and Sensei Wolf helped Terry Silver orchestrate Daniel's kidnapping. As Daniel was kidnapped by a gang of brutish thugs led by him, he found himself inside a cage by hungry dogs. However, he is able to escape and send their own dogs to them before confronting Dennis. The two briefly fight, in which Daniel accuses him of working with John Kreese to help him on the kidnapping after finding out he has a Cobra Kai tattoo on his shoulder before defeating him.

When Chozen and Kim Da Eun run into Dennis at a cafe in order to find answers on who kidnapped Daniel, they follow him to a hotel. Daniel and John Kreese join the two and they find Dennis meeting with Wolf inside a spa, realizing that he and Wolf were in cahoots with Silver all along as he was the one responsible for orchestrating Daniel's kidnapping.

Dennis and Daniel later have a brief fight during the Sekai Taikai all-dojo brawl, but is easily defeated by him, proving to be more than an annoyance than anyone else.

When the Sekai Taikai ends in a tiebreaker, Dennis was then ordered by Terry Silver to kidnap Johnny Lawrence’s wife Carmen and their newborn daughter, Laura, in order to throw Johnny off balance and distract him from winning his match against Wolf. Dennis asks him if he is sure to do that, to which Silver assures him and promises his yacht will be his if he succeeds in his mission. However, as he exits, Kreese kills him by snapping his neck, as he was aware of their plot and saw Silver talking to the Lawrence family before he left the venue. Kreese eventually sacrificed himself by blowing up Terry Silver’s yacht, taking Dennis’ body along with Terry and Kreese.
