The Desert Bandits are the antagonists in the 2016 animated film La Leyenda del Chupacabras´s official teaser.
They are a pair of thieves who dedicate themselves to stealing from houses in villages, specifically in the desert.

Originally the story is told through the trailer and is not canonical due to the final script changes that the film had.
After escaping down the hill from an angry mob that they had robbed, managing to evade them they begin to review the loot, although Skinny stole jewelry and valuable items, Big Guy stole toys and food, something that made the first one angry.
Suddenly the skinny guy thinks he heard a scary noise believing it to be the Chupacabras in the darkness, but it was a joke that the skinny guy played on the big guy to scare him, but this time they do hear a growl that makes them tremble with fear seeing a terrifying figure advancing but it was just an ordinary goat.
They were surprised and ashamed that they had been scared for nothing until they laughed at what had happened, believing that the creature was nothing more than a simple story, but this time when they turned around they saw the very beast that attacked them when everything went dark.

They appear among the audience watching Rupertino and Beatriz's performances, who, like the entire crowd, get angry and chase them until they are out of sight.
