Despera is a member of the Virtual Warriors who serves as an advisor to Grimlord and a major antagonist in Season 2 of VR Troopers. Alongside Oraclon and Doom Master, she was one of the new lieutenants to join Grimlord's army after the destruction of the Virtual Dungeon, acting as his assistant and strategist.
Despera appeared within the Virtual Dark Fortress after Grimlord created it using the knowledge of Tyler Steele and pledged her service to him, introducing him to Oraclon.
During the Virtual Warriors's next onslaught against the VR Troopers, Despera and Grimlord monitored Doom Master and the Vixens as they battled JB and Kaitlin alongside Irradiator. After Grimlord expressed his dissatisfaction at their performance against the two troopers, who had been enhanced by Tyler Steele, Despera eventually offered to go out into the field herself.
Despera used her scepter to create powerful electric shocks to attack the VR Troopers with, but was caught off guard when Ryan appeared in his new form. After the VR Troopers destroyed Irradiator, Despera and the others were called back to the Virtual Dark Fortress, where Grimlord announced to them that failure in their next mission was not an option.

Although much that Despera portrayed as female that her Japanese counterpart is a male. Unlike her Metal Heroes counterpart, she was having a relation of her sister, Desponda.
