Desphias is an Egyptian Pharaoh-themed Majin of the Space Pirates Balban working under Iliess and served as a minor antagonist in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, serving as the main antagonist of the 33rd episode and a minor antagonist in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman vs. Megaranger.

He is voiced by Kenji Nomura who later voiced Beast Baron Cobolda, Harbel, King Bibi, Debo Hyogakki and Mobile Commander Barashitara.

Biography

Past

Desphias was the younger brother of Illiess, the uncle of both Medoumedou and Merudameruda as well as the nephew of Bucrates. He joined the Balban three thousand years ago with the rest of his family when they were formed by Captain Zahab to destroy planets for Daitanix to eat and turn into Planet Life Jewels. Serving under Iliess, he was successful in helping the Balban in thier mission but was sealed away with the rest of the Balban when the original Gingamen defeated Zahab on Earth and placed a seal over them.

Gingaman

In 1990, the seal over the Balban expires and they return to being active threats. However, Desphias is not initially involved in the attack as Captain Zahab chooses Sambash as the active general.

After the death of his nieces, Desphias is summoned by Iliess as a last resort. He plans to revive Daitanix using the sadness of 3,333 people but is killed by Super Armor Shine Gingaioh after being pummelled by GigaPhoenix. Iliess does actually mourn her brother's death, unlike her other fallen Majin, including her daughters.

During the celebrations after the death of Daitanix, Saya recalls mauling Desphias as the Gingamen recount thier adventures to Moak.

Desphias is later resurrected along with many other Majin by Captain Gregory as part of his plan to resurrect the Balban. However, he is killed for good by the Galactic Flash.

Personality

Desphias was cold and cruel and enjoyed making people sad but was very loyal to his sister. Iliess was even shown to be close to him as she actually mourned him unlike the deaths of Medoumedou and Merudameruda which she didn't care about.
