Destro-King (デストロキング Desutoro Kingu) is the main antagonist of the Zone Fighter episode “Attack! Destro-King” and later made a brief flashback appearance in the episode “Terror-Beast HQ - Invade the Earth!”. He is a cybernetic dragon Kaiju created by the Garogas in a attempt to defeat Zone Fighter.
Biography[]
Attack! Destro-King[]
After a bunch of failed assassination attempts to kill the Zone family, the Garogas decided to send Destro-King to earth in order to finish them off. Upon landing there in a terror beast missile and being set free, the monster didn’t have to wait long for Hikaru Sakimori, also know as Zone Fighter to show up and fight it. The hero managed to temporarily keep the monster at bay using his superior fighting techniques and strength.
Unfortunately, Destro-King would turn out to be much more challenging of an opponent than expected as Zone Fighter figured out the hard way when it shrugged off his Meteor Missile Might attack, one of his most powerful attack weapons. To make matters worse, once Zone Fighter’s energy started depleting, Destro-King started to gain the upper hand and started pounding him repeatedly.
However, before Destro-King could defeat Zone Fighter, one of its heads was blasted off by Smokey which was piloted by Zone Junior and Zone Angel. While the monster was being distracted from having one of its head blown off, The Zone Warriors quickly used their beam lamps to help revitalize Zone Fighter’s energy. With his energy now at full complete, Zone Fighter proceeded to pummel the weakened Destro-King, ultimately causing it to overheat and explode.
The Terror-Beast HQ - Invade the Earth![]
Destro-King appears in a flashback alongside Spyler and Dragon King as the Garogas contemplate the many defeats they have suffered at the hands of Zone Fighter. He is shown battling Zone Fighter while surrounded by orange mist. The the fight eventually ends with Destro-King offering no resistance as Zone Fighter pummels him.
Triva[]
- In expanded material, it’s stated that Destro-King has the ability to borrow. Despite this, he is never shown using this ability in the series proper.
- Destro-King’s uses altered roars of the Ultra Kaiju Muruchi
- Since Destro-King's heads are operated by the suit actor's arms, the fuel tank in Destro-King's back is where his suit actor's head would be.
