The Destructoids are super robots created by DARK that serve as the commanders of its forces and antagonists in the Tokusatsu show Android Kikaider.
They are each themed after a specific animal and have a name comprised of their animal species and a color.
History[]
The first Destructoid to strike was Grey Rhino King, who was sent by Professor Gill to destroy a dam. However, his attack was interrupted when Kikaider showed up. After Kikaider fought off the Android Men supporting him, Grey Rhino King diverted his attention to chasing after Kikaider, but Kikaider mysteriously vanished. Later, when Kikaider escaped DARK's base with Dr. Komyoji's daughter Mitsuko, Grey Rhino King was sent after them. However, Kikaider was able to fight off and destroy Grey Rhino King.
The second Destructoid to strike was Green Mantis. Posing as Dr. Komyoji, Green Mantis murdered Dr. Komyoji's friend Dr. Ishigami and framed the doctor for it. Later posing as a police officer along with some Android Men, Green Mantis lured Dr. Komyoji's daughter Mitsuko and son Akira into a trap by claiming to want to take them in for questioning. They soon dropped their disguises when Mitsuko was in their custody but Akira suspected something was off beforehand and managed to escape. Later, as they were driving away with Mitsuko, Kikaider attacked their car and freed Mitsuko. He then went to confront Green Mantis and destroyed him.
