Detochki are the main characters of the 2013 Russian feature film. Detochki. They are killer kids who kill criminals.
History[]
In a certain city there is a series of strange murders committed by a gang of teenagers. The victims are criminals who the corrupt police do not want to catch. The public supports the gang's actions, and one of the journalists gives them the nickname "Kids".
It is revealed that the "Children" are teenagers from a local orphanage, with whom a former special services officer Vadim Shirokov was engaged in physical education. The leader of the "Children" Vanya Ivanov, whose parents were deprived of parental rights due to alcoholism, killed his father when he tried to rape his own daughter Natasha; the crime was never solved. Vanya's mother stopped drinking after the incident, she got a man, she got pregnant. However, when she finds out who her older children are, she has to refuse to restore custody of them.
Meanwhile, Shirokov catches the "Kids" in an attempt to lynch a corrupt sadistic military man. Shirokov recognizes the moral rightness of the "Children", but punishes the captain bloodlessly, causing lifelong paralysis of the lower body. Although Shirokov suffers from fear for the "Kids", he helps them destroy the main drug dealer of the city. The police establish constant monitoring of the orphanage, and Shirokov demands from the pupils that they stop their activities. In response, the children tell him how and why they became orphans, and continue killing those from whom society suffers (support in society is only growing).
At the same time, the police, with the participation of Major Kuznetsov's son Kira, ambushes the "Children". Kira at first thought that it was planned to capture the gang members, but soon learns that the police decided to kill the gang members, as the support and approval of their activities will make them heroes in the eyes of the people. Meanwhile, Shirokov, having gone to investigate in an ambush, demands that the "Children" refuse to carry out the operation, but they do not listen to him. Later, Shirokov saves the "Children", and Kira, who happened to be nearby, confesses to forgery, but by that time they find themselves surrounded by riot police under the leadership of Kuznetsov and Colonel Samoilov.
The "kids" offer Kira to leave them so as not to be in danger, but the boy refuses. Shirokov distracts attention to himself, thanks to which Kira and the guys hide in the forest. Shirokov is caught and interrogated at the police station, after which he escapes. Gang members take refuge in an abandoned building, but they are spotted by riot police, the shelling begins. Kira jumps out, demanding to cease fire, is mortally wounded and dies in her father's arms before he manages to get through to the medics. Blinded by grief, Kuznetsov himself opens fire on the riot police and is also shot, despite Samoilov's objections. The latter, threatening to continue the assault, again demands that the "Children" surrender. Shirokov machine-gun fire is opened on the riot police from a dilapidated church located nearby. The gang members run away, and Shirokov dies under the return fire of riot police.
