Devack is one of the primary antagonists of the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds He is one of the members of the Dark Signers acting as Roman Goodwin's second in command.

Biography

Little to nothing is known about Devack's past, including his cause of death and ressurrection, all that is known of his past is that he stole Ancient Fairy Dragon and, with the help of his underling Zeman the Ape King, infected the Duel Monsters Spirit World with a curse. Devack is first seen when him, Roman, and Kalin Kessler are meeting in their base as Kalin declares he'll be going after Yusei. Devack later arrives at New Domino City and breaks Greiger out of his prison transport and brings him, Carly Carmine, and Misty Tredwell to Satellite. Devack later appears alongside the rest of the Dark Signers as they prepare to go to battle, Devack shows Luna the Ancient Fairy Dragon and challenges her. Devack waits at his tower for Luna, as both her and her brother Leo are brought there by Trudge, Luna goes into the Duel Monsters spirit world to try and free Ancient Fairy Dragon, while Leo holds off Devack. Although Leo is outmatched by Devack, he still manages to hold his own and destroy Zeman the Ape King at the same time that Luna destroys him in the Spirit World. However Devack then brings forth his Earthbound Immortal and nearly defeats Leo, but Luna steps in and the two duel together. Devack attempts to break Luna's spirit by summoning and sacrificing Ancient Fairy Dragon to prevent his Immortal from being destroyed, however this proves to be his undoing as Luna uses one of Leo's cards to ressurrect Ancient Fairy Dragon to her side and defeat him. Devack, with his last dying breaths, attempted to drag Leo and Luna to the netherworld with him but was stopped by Yusei as he fades away. After the defeat of Rex Goodwin, Devack along with all the other Dark Signers, with the exception of Rex and Roman, are ressurrected as humans again, however after this, Devack is never seen again in the series.
