The Deveriux´ Tar Dweller or Cave Monster is a minor antagonist of the 2022 animated film Las Leyendas: El Origen, the sixth installment of Las Leyendas film series and the prequel to the 2007 animated film La Leyenda de la Nahuala.
He is a minion of Moira (before the temporary control of Deveriux) being involuntarily in on her plans.
Appearance[]
It looks like a light brown, soft mass. It has 6 long, thin arms, with long, sharp fingers, and on its wrists, there is a "protuberance" that resembles a kind of "handcuffs." Its face is made up of dozens of monstrous, black faces that constantly bubble, although it has a huge mouth with which it devours its victims. It has 6 white, armored plates on its back, and it slides like a snail or a slug.

He appears visibly furious when Deveriux uses his sword to create deafening waves to call him. For much of his appearance, he chases the protagonists in an attempt to devour them. However, Deveriux also does not come out unscathed as he ends up devoured by the creature and Chimo (who manages to keep him at bay for a few moments, while allowing Eva , Aniceto , Finado and Moribunda to flee and obtain his forgiveness. In the end, he is trapped with the ghost in the rubble of the Cavern. It is known that Chimo manages to escape, leaving the monster to its fate.
