Biography[]
Early Life[]
Dhar was one of the first Uruk-Hai born in Isengard. He was granted the rank of captain. Dhar was commissioned to stay in Isengard as the chief of Saruman’s Smeltery, much to his dismay.
The Smeltery[]
Although Dhar wanted to join his brothers in the battle of Helms Deep, he was still required to stay in Isengard. He did find pleasure in his job, however, for Saruman had commanded him to take no insubordination from the lesser orcs working there. He pushed the orcs and even beat them. They hated him for it and even tried to burn him with lava, which only lead to the left side of his face to be scarred. He began to torture and kill any insubordinate orcs with the lava. Dhar became feared for his reputation and was given the nickname “The Smelter.”
Siege of Isengard[]
When the Ents attacked Isengard, they flooded the entire fortress. The flood had reached the Smeltery, killing Dhar and all of his discontent workers.
