Di Ravello Militia, also known by its acronym D.R.M., are supporting antagonists of the video game Just Cause 3. They are the law enforcement of the Republic of Medici, installed to act upon the will of the country's dictator General Di Ravello.
History[]
D.R.M. was established after Sebastiano Di Ravello seized power in the Medici, in order to replace the original police force which was disloyal to the new ruler. Though D.R.M. performed their task of enforcing the new regime, they weren't as good at responding to actual crimes.
During the civil war, D.R.M. took the military's side and fought the Rebellion. Whenever the rebels seized a town or village, D.R.M. would be banished from them and the police stations they used to occupy. They were presumably disbanded outright after the rebels' victory.
Overview[]
Di Ravello Militia largely fulfills the same role as the police force, upholding order in Medici and suppressing dissent. According to the Medici military and Black Hand, D.R.M. is largely composed of undisciplined and dim-witted officers who wouldn't make it through the boot camp. It's also suggested that they are bad at their job, as when investigating a theft, they sometimes don't even bother to return the stolen item to its owner.
