"Diablo" is a minor antagonist in season four of Criminal Minds, only appearing in the episode "Brothers in Arms".
He was portrayed by Eddie Perez.
History[]
After a string of murders committed on police officers by an unknown man, the BAU is called to Phoenix, Arizona to try and help catch the killer, even when the police aren't trustworthy of the FBI.
The Arizona police department personally suspect a man who goes by his street name "Playboy" due to his brother being killed by them several months prior and telling them that he'd kill them if given the chance. Playboy is taken into questioning where Derek Morgan gets him to point out the killer is a white man he's seen around the neighborhood and in the middle of the interrogation, another shooting breaks out.
Agents Hotchner and Prentiss hurry to the scene where they're told the suspect is a man who goes by the street name "Diablo" who has shot Officer Scotty in his head and wounded Officer Daws by shooting him in the chest. Daws tells Hotchner that Diablo ambushed them at a red light and then ran into a building. Hotchner and Prentiss then know Diablo isn't the unsub, since he always calls in a fake report to set up a scene before hand. Just then, Diablo is shot by a sniper and he falls backwards out of a window to his death.
It's later revealed Diablo likely targeted Officers Scotty and Daws due to previously arresting him on drug charges, and got the idea from "Animal" to try and use his MO to evade capture, but didn't consider being cornered rather quickly.
