Diablo is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Veldora Tempest) of the anime, manga and light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise.
He is one of the seven Demon Primordials, serving as the origin for the "black" demons. Originally a powerful archdemon, he was summoned by Rimuru, whom he pledges his loyalty to, evolving into a demon duke after being named. He now serves as Rimuru's "secondary secretary".
He was voiced by Takahiro Sakurai in the Japanese version and by Daman Mills in the English dubbed version.
Personality[]
Before being summoned, Noir was a demon who unlike most, had minimal interest in obtaining power and sought only to alleviate his constant boredom. He had little regard for other's lives other than how they could entertain him, demonstrated when he threatened to slaughter a room full of adventurers to fulfill a request. He did however have a sense of integrity and would always keep his promises regardless of what they were. He also showed respect to those powerful enough to hold their own against him such as Shizu and even went as far as to save her life.
When he is summoned by Rimuru, he is enraptured by the slime and pledges his undying loyalty to him. When he is accepted and named by Rimuru, Diablo seeks to please his master by any means necessary and the very thought of failing him fills him with fear he never felt before.
Because his new master has a kind heart, he has yet to do anything truly heinous under his command, but he has no qualms killing or torturing whoever Rimuru would order him to and has no regard for anyone's lives unless they are important or friends with Rimuru.
