Diana Sydney is a major antagonist of the first season in the CW show, The 100.
She was portrayed by Kate Vernon.
Personality[]
She is a treacherous, manipulative and power-hungry advisor aboard the Ark. Diana is behind the conspiracy against Chancellor Jaha as well as the death and injury of several people. Her main supporters were Commander Shumway, Cuyler Ridley and Lieutenant Graco.
Biography[]
In the past, Diana Sydney was Chancellor but was replaced by Thelonius Jaha following an election. Thirsty for power and the desire to resume her place as chancellor, she asked to have Jaha assassinated but it was a failure.
She manages to convince Jaha to have Abby Griffin's place on the Council and wants to help finalize Project Exodus. When Shumway is revealed to be the one who asked Bellamy to shoot the Chancellor, he is arrested and secretly killed by Diana and Graco in his cell.
In Unit Day, Diana attends the party and then walks away as a bomb explodes and kills six people, including Marcus Kane's mother. The latter suspects Diana and thanks to a diversion, Kane is locked in a cell. Diana and her followers then go to the Exodus ship and fight Jaha and his men who try to stop them from escaping. Diana then reveals that there are not enough ships to bring everyone back to the ground and Red, a mechanic betrays Jaha and closes the doors of the ship after going in. Exodus then detaches from the Ark but on entering the atmosphere, it crashes and explodes killing Diana and her followers instantly.
