Biography[]

Nightwing arrives at Wayne Manor and finds Batgirl bathing in the sunlight. Batman calls them into the summon, where the rest of the Batman Family - Alfred Pennyworth, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, and Orphan - are already waiting. Batman informs the Family that last week, he was visited by Andrew Bennett, who warned that the vampires plan to wage war against humans. Andrew has since gone missing, and Batman's detective work indicates he was being followed before his trail went cold. Batman assures her that he is not by telling the Family of the Mad Monk, a bloodthirsty vampire who was one of his earliest foes. Batman also mentions the Mad Monk's female counterpart Dala, who Nightwing will remember since he encountered her during his time as Robin. Batman is unsure if the Mad Monk is the vampire who overthrew Mary, Queen of Blood, but does note that his insatiable hunger did pose a genuine threat to humans.

Ratcatcher struggles with a man until Batgirl intervenes, thinking Ratcatcher is assaulting someone. However, the man reveals himself to be a vampire and attacks. The vampire says that although the vampires have been ordered not to touch the Batman Family, he will simply lie that he acted in self-defense. Before the vampire can kill Batgirl, Nightwing stakes and destroys him. The two briefly flirt before the Ratcatcher interrupts them to reveal that a gang of vampires is hunting criminals all over Gotham. Batgirl investigates Gotham City and finds her way into an abandoned hotel room. Nightwing follows her in, and the two briefly flirt before Batgirl shows him that she found dirt in the room. Vampires must sleep above dirt from their ancestral home as they travel, and the room was booked for a long-term stay by a certain Mary Shackton, "Shackton" being the maiden name of Mary, Queen of Blood's mother. Batgirl surmises that Mary traveled to Gotham in secret, and she and Nightwing now must find out why.

The residents reach the river to ruin Gotham but they need to get past vampires and they spot Black Adam and go after them. Trying to move but Damian already got the plan Adam burst into flames into a river. Starfire got Dick's attention along with Grodd. He ordered every vampire to capture her while she flew to recharge from the sun while others made it out alive.

Batgirl and Harley Quinn arrive with Wonder Woman bringing them to Dick and asking her to give them alone. He questions whether Barbara came all the way to kill him; she did not kill him but stopped him and asked him why chose a dark path. Dick mocked the question of opposing vampires eating humans while humans killing animals for meat's it everyone's nature by killing creatures to eat them Harley knows that he is trying to join his side by being a couple she hears enough jump in to stake him. He grabbed hold of Harley's neck and Barbara pulled out her wooden stake Dick telling it won't change even if he was killed other vampires take his place she is telling him to let her go. He knows if she really wants to kill him, she can't even side with evil and still love him. Dick tells her how the pain goes away by sinking his teeth, her neck turning into a vampire. Now she a vampire wants to celebrate by feasting on Harley Quinn he goes first and drains her blood but realizing something happened to him bursts flame believes Barbara tricked him she responds know never kill him but argon he turned into dust killing him for good. With his death, Barbara becomes queen of vampires at the end of the war while Supergirl clears the smoke to bring the sun back to Earth.

Powers and Abilities[]

Vampirism: In addition to the various mental and physical benefits that vampires are heir to, they also possess the ability to turn others into vampires as well. Each new vampire is traditionally subservient to the one who "turned" them, but some strong-willed vampires have been known to rebel against their masters.

  • Enhanced Senses: A vampire's senses are enhanced far beyond those of a normal human being.
  • Immortality: So long as vampires continue to consume blood, they will not age beyond the physical state they were in when they first became vampires.
  • Invulnerability: Vampires are invulnerable to most forms of injury (certain exceptions apply). Bullets, blades, and blunt objects do little to no damage to a vampire's body.
  • Regeneration: In addition to being virtually indestructible, whatever damage a vampire does in fact suffer can be healed through the consumption of human blood.
  • Superhuman Strength: A vampire's strength level is several times that of a normal human being and they are considered superhuman.
  • Superhuman Speed: A vampire's speed level is several times that of a normal human being and they are considered superhuman.
  • Superhuman Stamina: So long as they continue to consume human blood, a vampire can function tirelessly without rest or relaxation. However, a vampire's stamina wanes the closer it is to sunrise.
  • Psychokinesis: Most vampires possess some form of psychokinesis. Some are clairvoyant, others can communicate telepathically, and some possess mind control. Particularly powerful vampires can control the minds of several people at once.
  • Transformation: Vampires often possess the ability to transform into a variety of creatures or effects such as bats, wolves, rats, or even mist. While their physical attributes may fluctuate during such states, a vampire's mental acuity is the same as that when they are in their human shape. A vampire who transforms into an animal may also benefit from that animal’s attributes including razor-sharp claws, fangs, or the ability to fly. Vampires also often demonstrate the ability to alter their appearance at will.
