Detective Diego Morales is a minor antagonist on Law & Order: Organized Crime, appearing throughout the season before being the main antagonist in the Season 1 finale "Forget It Jake; It's Chinatown".
He was portrayed by Michael Rivera.
Biography[]
Employment at the OCCB[]
Morales previously worked as a detective with the Gun Violence Suppression Division before being transferred to the Organized Crime Control Bureau where he was partnered with Detective Freddie Washburn. His criminal behaviour didn't start until he started working for Richard Wheatley, a businessman and crime boss whom the OCCB were investigating. It was unknown when Morales started working for Wheatley. However, Morales wasn't suspected by the Organized Crime Control Bureau until after Wheatley's imprisonment.
Criminal Identity and Death[]
After being spotted by Captain Olivia Benson at the hospital, Morales took her, Sergeant Ayanna Bell, and Detective Elliot Stabler hostage at gunpoint. Morales revealed that he was paid a few million dollars to assassinate Wheatley's ex-wife, Angela Wheatley, who was also responsible for the death of Stabler's wife, Kathy.
Morales then attempted to commit suicide before pointing the gun at Bell. However, Bell shot him dead in self-defense.
