Biography[]
Season 1[]
Dieter is first shown as one of the students witnessing Miguel Diaz defeat Kyler Park in the school's cafeteria for his abusive relationship towards Samantha LaRusso. As a result, he decides to join the Cobra Kai dojo, becoming Johnny Lawrence's new students alongside a few others such as Edwin, Bert, and Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz. During one of their training sessions at the junkyard in preparation for the All Valley, he seems to be one of the few students who flees from a pack of dogs set by Johnny Lawrence. He is also shown to party with the rest of his friends at Yasmine's birthday at the creek.
Dieter later participates in the All Valley Karate Tournament. Although since he isn't shown to participate in matches, it could be implied he may have been defeated by other dojos since he was just new to Cobra Kai. However, he is still shown cheering for his friends, and later celebrates when Miguel Diaz defeats Robby Keene, giving Cobra Kai the victory.
Season 2[]
Dieter continues to hang out with his fellow Cobra Kai's, whether going out or still training at the dojo. He also participated in a training session where students are forced to roll a cement drum and when he and his fellow Cobras participate at the Valley Fest to do a demonstration there, interrupting Miyagi Do's performance. This results in a few new students joining, such as Raymond "Stingray" Porter and Tory Nichols, in which he witnessed the latter spar against Miguel Diaz.
Dieter was then forced to do push-ups when Johnny Lawrence tries to tell any of his students to be the ones responsible for vandalizing the Miyagi-Do dojo, not knowing that it was John Kreese responsible for sending the students there. He also participates in the Coyote Creek training session and also at Moon's end of summer party. He was also one of the witnesses seeing Sam and Tory fight at the school, and continued to remain with Cobra Kai when Kreese takes over.
Season 3[]
Dieter remains at Cobra Kai as he is one of the few who are decided to stay with the dojo when other students such as Bert are kicked out by Kreese for refusing to feed the hamster to the pet snake he has. He continues attending West Valley High School with Hawk and his other friends. Dieter is also shown to be with Kyler Park at school when he decides to bully Demetri by drawing a penis on his cast so he can be humiliated. When Johnny Lawrence tries to find students to join his new Eagle Fang Karate, Dieter is one of the few convinced to join by his former sensei as he tells them as well as Hawk that they weren't meant to be taught like Kreese has, though they decide not to. Following the end of a class session, Dieter is shown mocking Demetri when Kyler slaps him.
Season 4[]
Dieter continues to train with his fellow Cobra Kai's when the All Valley was approaching. He is shown to assist Big Red when Robby Keene knocks him out during a session when the Cobra Kai's decide to attack him due to his hesitance on wanting to leave the dojo. He is later shown watching sparring matches between Kenny Payne and Robby Keene, as well as Piper Elswith and Tory Nichols when Terry Silver teaches them a lesson on weakness. When Stingray decides to rejoin Cobra Kai only to be kicked off by Kreese, Dieter is one of the few greeted by him. He later participates at the Junior Prom.
Dieter would later participate in the All Valley Karate Tournament. He is one of the few listening to Kreese's speech on wanting them to be given glory should they win. Like before, he doesn't make it to the final matches since he is a less experienced fighter, and it implies he may have been defeated easily either by Miyagi Do, Eagle Fang Karate, or a different dojo. He continues to watch the matches though, and celebrates when Tory Nichols defeats Samantha LaRusso in the girls finals, giving Cobra Kai the title once more. As he and his friends celebrates their victory, Terry Silver reveals his plan to expand Cobra Kai throughout the valley. He would join in with Kyler Park and the other Cobra Kai's when he decides to have a victory party at his house with the exception of Tory Nichols, who had just found out that the referee had been paid by Silver to give her the win, something that the other Cobra Kai's don't know.
Season 5[]
Dieter remains at Cobra Kai under the new leadership of Terry Silver. He continues to harass the Miyagi Do's, even joining Kyler Park and Kenny Payne at the water park into making fun of Anthony LaRusso by putting floaties on him, and then kicking him to the water. He and the others then get into a clash with the Eagle Fang's and the Miyagi Do's on wanting to get on the water slide, which is then settled by Kyler on a slide race between Tory Nichols and Hawk. However, they are later kicked out when Hawk gets into a fight with Kenny and blames him for puncturing a hole on his floatie, even getting Miguel Diaz and Robby Keene in the way as well.
As he continued to train with Cobra Kai, he is also shown trying to hand out merchandise to newcomers at one of the other Cobra Kai dojos, which is witnessed by Chris, Mitch, Bert, and Nathaniel.
Dieter is also one of the many students fighting off the Miyagi-Fang's at the Cobra Kai dojo when they decide to find evidence on Silver so Cobra Kai can be shutdown. Despite seemingly overwhelming most of the Miyagi-Fang's, this enables them to protect Anthony long enough to expose Silver at one of the dojo's TV screens, where it shows him confess to Tory about the bribery days earlier. Terry Silver then arrives and challenges Daniel to a fight after trying to defend his actions to his students, which they refused to listen to him. After Terry is easily defeated by Daniel, Dieter is one of the few who quits the dojo along with Kenny Payne, Kyler Park, and a few others. He is then shown in ambulance resting after a long fight.
