You little bastard. Shae think I am powerless fool now. It was made very clear to let her through. Now I must think about the consequences for you.
~ Dimitri to Inspector.

Dimitri is a supporting character and optional secondary antagonist in the 2013 video game Papers, Please. He is the Inspector superior.

Biography[]

On day 10, the inspector meets Dimitri for the first time. He briefly evaluates the inspector's performance for the past 10 days, gives him a plaque, depending on his performance, and leaves either congratulating or scolding inspector for his performance.

During his second visit on day 20, in addition to his evaluation and plaque, the supervisor will take note of any unauthorized decor and missing plaques. If he finds any unauthorized wall hangings, the inspector will receive a 20-credit fine at the end of the day (even if it's a drawing of the Inspector son). Before he leaves, the supervisor will inform the inspector that a friend of his will be coming to cross the border soon, and orders him to approve her entry. If she is Detained on day 25, Dimitri will arrest Inspector the next day under false accusations.

The supervisor visits for the last time on day 30. He will announce the number of citations received but will not hand out any more plaques, saying "There are no more plaques". If the inspector denied Shae Piersovska's entry on day 25, the supervisor will scold the inspector, threatening that he will find for him a suitable punishment, but is powerless to do so currently. If he notices any unauthorized wall hangings for the second time, he will arrest the inspector on the spot.

It's unknown what happens to Dimitri in other endings, but it's assumed that he is force to let go of his possible grudge for inspector (ending 20) or is presumably killed by the EZIC agents (ending 19).
