Vick Matheson, also known as The Ding Dong Ditch Ripper, is the main antagonist of the 2023 Puppet Combo horror survival game, Ding Dong Dead, made by Jordan King.
He is a mentally ill serial killer obsessed with ding dong ditch and following a violent voice in his head, murders 5 people before being sent to an insane asylum, before breaking out and planning to murder his own little brother.
Personality[]
Vick appears to be completely murder driven due to a voice in his head he had since he was young, driving him to slaughter 5 people. Vick grows vengeful over his father not believeing him and plans to kurdee his little brother out of spite, being excited over bashing his skull in with a hammer.
Biography[]
Vick Matheson was born to Kenneth Matheson, who was known for being a prankster in his neighborhood, obsessed with ding ding ditching. At some point when Vick was young, he developed a voice in his head, a voice that was dismissed by his father.
However on Halloween 1974, when Vick was still a kid, he was discovered to have brutally mutilated and murdered 5 people in his family attack, having torn their bodies in half and bashed their skulls in. He was sentence to an insane asylum, and his therapist, Dr. Pleasant, eventually gave up on him as he saw he was pure evil and could never be let out. At some point, Vick discovered the existence of his younger brother, Rex, and sent a letter to father where he promises to come back home at the behest of the voice and brutally murder his brother.
On Halloween night, 1984, Vick a manages to escape the insane asylum due to a riot and goes back to his neighborhood, breaking into the house to kill his brother. One of three endings can happen depending on the player’s actions.
If the player is unable to stop Vick, he brutally stabs the player and proceeds to murder Rex, as well as his friends Hip G and Hilary before escaping, never to be seen again.
If the player goes ahead and murders Rex, Hip G and Hilary in advance to prevent Vick from “reaping his glory” he’ll be able to kill Vick, but the player is shot by Dr. Pleasant and later committed to a mental hospital, where he himself has now been infected by the voice Vick was hearing.
And in the final ending, where you manage to save everyone, Vick attacks the player and Rex but is shot dead by Dr. Pleasant. However, the player is still committed to the asylum due to being struck with hallucinations, presumably suffering from the voice again Vick was infected with.
