Dingle is a major character of the short-lived Cartoon Network show, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. He is a member of Disgustoids and is one of the main characters on the show.
He was voiced by Peter Browngardt.
Appearance[]
Dingle is a small blue disgustoid with the appearance of a monstrous dog: he has a hunched back, long arms, bent legs, sharp teeth, a robust chest, big round eyes, and straight, messy black hair that resembles ears, along with a bald spot on top.
Personality[]
Dingle is usually calm despite his somewhat crazed voice, and like Fart, he sometimes acts as the voice of reason. He plays a dog-like role within his group, behaving much like one, yet he is still a sentient being. His speech consists of gibberish and unintelligible mumbling that the audience cannot understand, but the other Disgustoids do. He is also more intelligent than he appears, as shown when he gives a presidential speech or mentions winning a Nobel Prize and inventing various things. However, he has a mischievous and somewhat sadistic side, evident when he suggests making fake money or comes up with clearly illegal ideas.
Trivia[]
- Dingle is the character with the fewest spoken lines in the series, as he only produces incoherent mumbling and gibberish instead of clear dialogue.
- His voice is provided by Peter Browngardt, who is also the creator of the series.
- He shares the same voice actor with Festro.
- Dingle is the only one of the five Disgustoids whose parents are shown in the series. Unlike him, his parents and siblings speak normally and do not communicate through gibberish, highlighting Dingle’s unique way of expressing himself.
- As many of the main Disgustoids (except Fart and Gweelok) are based on animals, Dingle is based on a dog, which is noticeable both in his (mostly) behavior and in his own physical appearance.
