Dino Zerilli is a supporting antagonist in the third season of the HBO Television Series The Sopranos. He is the best friend of Jackie Aprile Jr. and an associate of the DiMeo Crime Family. Him, along with Jackie and Carlo Renzi all put off various small-time criminal activities in an effort to rise up the ranks of the criminal underworld.
He was portrayed by Andrew/Andy Davoli, who also voiced and motion captured Connor Aldridge in Mafia III.
Biography[]
Dino Zerilli is a student at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey and is a part of a frat consisting of himself, his childhood best friend Jackie Jr., Carlo and a few unseen members. Throughout the third season, we see Dino act as Jackie's right-hand man, helping him with his issues and whatever crime he needs to pull off to make some cash. More importantly however, Dino and his friends are all desperate in trying to become higher-ranking members in the world of the Mafia. Sometime during the season, Dino is arrested by the police for a short while.
When Dino is released from prison, he is informed by Jackie Jr.'s plans to rob Eugene Pontecorvo's card game which was inspired by Ralph Cifaretto, who was looked up to by the trio. While at first hesitant, Dino agrees to the plan. At night, the three enter the building with masks on and brandishing guns to the card players' faces. While everything starts off going well, things go sour when Jackie shoots the dealer, "Sunshine" after he annoyed him, causing Christopher Moltisanti to murder Carlo. Dino and Jackie run out with the getaway driver, Matush Giamona driving off. Jackie steals a car and ditches Dino, leaving him to be held at gunpoint by Christopher and Albert Barese. Dino begs for mercy, claiming he was sent by Ralph, but he is instead shot in the head by Chris and Al.
