Dio Brando, is the main antagonist of Jorge Joestar. He is a non canon Dio, who after being defeated by Jonathan, decided to make a plan that involved multiples universe just to become the ultimate life thing and control everything.
Biography[]
After the events of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Dio took over Jonathan's body, staying in his casket with Erina, there, Dio would use his new stand The World, using it to torture Erina as he wanted, while also threatening her that if she doesn't give her blood to him, he is going to kill the baby Elizabeth and the son inside Erina. At the end he ends up deciding to stay in the coffin for a good amount of time, using his other ability, The Passion, he sees the future of each person of the Joestar bloodline, while also using this ability (or the ability known as Beyond), to transmit orders to Giorno Giovanna in his dreams, all in order for him to free him at some point from that coffin.
Millions of years later this events, Dio gets Giorno to travel back in time just after the coffin of Dio got recovered by the fishermen, where, after being awaken by Giorno's other personality, Diavolo, Dio drinks his blood to recover, using him to travel to multiple moments of time, getting to ally himself with an alternate version of Funny Valentine and The Funniest Valentine, killing the 37th alternate version of Pucci's family, while also giving him the steps for heaven, and killing an alternative version of Kars to drink his blood, in order to become the Ultimate Thing. Getting back to the moment he left with Diavolo's barely alive body, Dio kills him after he gets back to Giorno, and after seeing he is his son, Dio puts half of his soul on him, transforming him into a clone of himself, giving him his stand, just to then travel in time after this Dio is defeated by Jotaro Kujo, recovering his stand before it disappears.
Getting to the past on London, Dio reunites with Funny Valentine, using his abilities to get Pucci to obtain C-Moon and later Made in Heaven, so that they can travel forward in time to the 37th universe. After this, he taunts the heroes, as he is close to getting to his final goal, getting into a battle against Kars, to see who is the real Ultimate Living Being. After a long battle, Dio gets Funny Valentine to send Kars to another universe created by them, and after this doesn't work, he tries to do it again but with help of The Funniest and Funny Valentine, with help of multiple alternative versions of them and an alternative version of himself. But this fails, as Kars got to copy Dio's stand, obtaining The World Ultimate, to continue the battle, where Dio lost his stand ability, but before this, he stabbed Kars's Whitesnake with an arrow, in order to transform it into Made In Heaven, while also dividing his own body into 9 parts, so he can escape with that stand to another universe, to later fuse himself again and take over everything. In that moment, Funny Valentine finally understands, that in reality, Dio was the corpse parts all of this time, deciding to help the heroes to stop him.
In the second universe, Dio tries to fuse himself with his body once again, but is stopped by the heroes, who end up putting Jonathan's head instead, getting Jonathan to recover his body and revive, with this in mind, Dio decides to take over Alternate Universe Diego Brando's headless corpse, leaving humilliated, stating that he won't face the Joestar again, as he is frustated about always losing against Jonathan, leaving to never be seen again.
