Disciples of Sanctus Medicus is a subdivision of an antagonistic faction Denizens of Abundance in Honkai Star Rail. They were the secret sect of the fanatical worshippers of Yaoshi, Aeon of Abundance, whom they refer to as "Merciful Medicus".
Profile[]
There are two different groups of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus that shares the name. The first group was known as the Old Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, the generally ineffectual group of devoted worshippers of Yaoshi in secrecy for thousands of years until they transformed into Cold Springs Sect. The sect led the Xianzhou reforming their healthcare system & eventually declare the renouncement of Yaoshi. They believe that Mara exists because Yaoshi was improperly executed. 
Recently, The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus had become fanatical in the wake of Third Abundance War. They believe that Mara was some kind of "blessed evolution" rather than a curse of immortality. The leader, Dan Shu, has obtained a stellaron from Phantylia and used to revive the Ambrosial Arbor in rebellion against Xianzhou. Though they were defeated by the Cloud Knights of XIanzhou Luofu, many of the disciples still continue to operate in secrecy.
