Disco Wing is a major antagonist in the 2024 action-adventure game Princess Peach: Showtime! He is encountered on the first floor after Princess Peach cleanses the first floor's plays.
Appearance[]
The Disco Wing has two forms that he can shift between; in both forms, he has a disco ball for a body. In his normal form, the Disco Wing has the head, wings, and claws of a bird with green eyes, and his alternate form has him become a limbless (though still sentient) disco ball by tucking his head and limbs in. His heart is a purple blob.
Personality[]
Although not much can be gleaned from his personality due to his limited screen time, the Disco Wing is purportedly loyal to his master. When Princess Peach confronts him, the Disco Wing's reaction is of anger. His dialogue also mentions "Darkle," a dark counterpart to Sparkle.
Biography[]
The stage starts with an opening cutscene introducing Disco Wing, much to their dismay that Princess Peach and Stella entered through the dark door. They tell Peach and Stella that they rewrite stories with Grape.
The stage takes place in a round arena. In the first phase, Disco Wing lays disco balls. Peach and Stella can rally them with Sparkle which will result a cyan aviary to launch vertically out of the disco ball. Peach must perform two hits per phase underneath Disco Wing. Afterwards, Disco Wing's body will deconstruct leaving a Darkle sphere that Peach can use Sparkle to purify it, inflicting damage on the boss.
On the second phase, Disco Wing also summons disco ball-textured blocks that will fall from the air to the ground; Peach must evade them. Disco Wing also manipulates the gravity upside-down which the player controlling Peach must adapt to. If Peach was standing on the blocks while the gravity changes, the block takes one life from her. Disco Wing also rolls on the arena that crushes the blocks which Peach can jump over.
On the final phase, Disco Wing summons blocks longer than the blocks in the previous phase. While Disco Wing rolls in the arena, they will also bounce on the arena. Additionally Disco Wing lays three disco balls at a time and disco balls where purple aviaries immediately hatch and approach Peach; Peach can rally them.
Upon defeat, the Darkle sphere explodes and its body disintegrates. As Peach and Stella exits the dark door, the dark door and the threads blocking 2F disappears. Additionally, Peach can access the Swordfighter Rehearsal.
