Dmitri is a major antagonist in the Syfy series Van Helsing and was the main antagonist of the first two seasons. He was the wise and calculated leader of the Vampires and was the arch-enemy of Vanessa Van Helsing who kidnapped her in order to find a way to get Vampires to walk in sunlight and be more better advanced. He was killed by The Elder, Abaddon, by Scarlett Harker’s command.
He was portrayed by Paul Johansson.

Biography[]
Not much is known about his life prior to the series but it was heavily implied that he turned into a vampire by the elder, Abaddon and lived up to 300 years with his sister Antonasia.
In the 21th century he is now the wise and calculated ruler of the vampires and arch-enemy of the Van Helsing’s who kidnaps Vanessa, a member of the family of vampire hunters who tries to experiment on her to find a cause of the vampires being turned back to humans.
