“ | Permit me to introduce myself, I am Doberlord, Supreme Alpha of the intergalactic conquerors, the War Dogs...and I am your new king. | „ |
~ Doberlord making his entrance to Lion-O |
Doberlord is the main antagonist of the comic Thundercats: Dogs of War.
Biography[]
Chapter 1[]
A small group of dog soldiers from the War Dogs start a reconnaissance on New Thundera, noting they would wipe the Thundercats out the same way they've wiped out a hundred races from other planets. Their superior, Doberlord, wants to see how much the Thundercats can fight in order to determine if they were servants or food.
The leading dog declares that New Thundera belongs to the War Dogs and orders his men to rigde north to gun down what moves. Wilykat witnesses this and notes this was not the first time it happened.
Chapter 2[]
The War Dogs launch their attack on Lion-O's capital of New Thundera without warning, engulfing it in flames and hounding any victims they can find. On his main ship, the Doberliner, Doberlord in his war room receives a transmission from his troops on New Thundera and hears the message "We surrender." from them.
Doberlord remarks that it did not take that long for him to be victorious and hoped that the Thundercats would be more formidable than that. Just then, he hears that it was the Ro-Bear Berbils that surrendered, not the Thundercats.
Noticing that they were too small to be slaves and too metalic to be eaten, Doberlord orders the Lizaurians to be released. His subordinate protests this as they could have given this to the dog soldiers to better their morale.
Doberlord denies this and cares more about crushing opposition. When Lady Diablador kills the subordinate for questioning the orders, Doberlord chatises her for this act of unnecessary violence to his scheme. She simply tells hims she should have been consulted on the slaughter of the Berbils.
Doberlord's forces stand outside Lion-O's palace talking about how cats can make good soup and stew before a general quiets them down as this was not some tea party they have and they need to be on high alert.
Just then, they smell several Thundercat hiding closeby and ambush them. The general then issues an order to start a fire to cook them when Wilykit jump kicks him in order to save them. Bobcat also charges in to aid Wilykit in fending them off before escaping.
At that time, Lion-O receives the news from Pumyra about how bleak things have gotten on New Thundera where the War Dogs overrun the mines of Thundrillium and made quick work of the outposts and settlements while the people were either killed, injured, or taken hostage.
Casualties will also be severe if the war dogs attack again. She explains that the dogs outdo the Thundercats in capability and they do not have enough information regarding them. They are in need of a plan as the plight gets desperate on an hourly basis.
Just then, Doberlord hijacks the transmission and brands himself Lion-O's new king and that his race will be enslaved by his empire. He then threatens to wipe his kind off the map if he does not surrender.
