Doberman (One Piece)

Vice Admiral Doberman is a minor antagonist in the One Piece franchise. A Marine Vice Admiral and a follower of the ruthless philosophy of Absolute Justice, Doberman is a brutal and efficient enforcer of it. Present during the Enies Lobby Buster Call, he lectured his subordinates about Rob Lucci's past and later participated in the Summit War of Marineford and the Egghead Incident.

He is voiced by Eiji Takemoto (who also voiced Aisslinger Wernarr in Bleach) in Japanese and by Bradley Campbell in English.

Personality[]

As a follower of Absolute Justice, Doberman is a vicious extremist to whom the end justifies any means. He has no pity or compassion towards pirates and wishes to exterminate them all, and does not care who or what is in his way of achieving this. He is completely willing to abandon any injured soldiers in pursuit of evildoers, displaying he has no tolerance for those who can slow down their campaign, and does not care if he is even given falsified orders if it means being able to hunt down criminals.

Despite these traits, he is not entirely without any morals. While he will leave behind any injured men who slow him down, he is not heartless enough in that he'd rather avoid mass casualties if possible, going so far as to even question Elder Jaygarcia Saturn if this mass extermination approach was needed, though he did ultimately follow through with it.
