Doctor Arinsu is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Degesu) of the 2024 fantasy martial arts anime television series Dragon Ball Daima.
Dr. Arinsu is a female glind scientist who reigned in the Demon Realm as one of the Demon Supreme Kais. She is the elder sister of the Supreme Kai Shin and Degesu, and once worked under the King of the Demon Realm Gomah. But she became an ally of the Z-Fighters when turned against her former master, Gomah.
Arinsu is voiced by Yoko Hikasa in Japanese and by Morgan Garrett in English. Hikasa has also voiced Kuon Ichinose in Persona, Keara in Redo of Healer, Ivy in Fire Emblem, one of Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti's fingers in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and Sailor Lead Crow in Sailor Moon Cosmos. Garrett has also voiced Miuccia Miuller in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Mozu in One Piece, and Ayame and Yuki's mother in Fruits Basket.
Appearance[]
Arinsu is a member of the humanoid glind species. A typical glind is mostly similar to a human in physical appearance, aside from the color of their skin and the shape of their ears (which were large and pointed sideways). Though they were genderless, glinds typically possessed the sexually dimorphic traits of humans and used the gender pronouns that matched said traits. In the case of Arinsu, she had the dimorphic traits of a human female and used female pronouns.
Arinsu is a glind with smooth pale pink skin and large, sharp indigo eyes. Considered beautiful, the doctor is fairly tall and had a curvaceous physique, a youthful appearance, a small mouth and nose, and thin, sharp eyebrows. Her long straight white hair is styled into a large pompadour, aside from a few strands clumped together that formed bangs that framed the left side of her face. Arinsu wore light makeup consisting of maroon eyeliner, dark purple lipstick, black nails, and styled eyelashes.

Dr. Arinsu was born from one of the five Glind Tree on the Second Demon Realm, and she is born on the same tree as with Nahare and Degesu. According to Nahare, Dr. Arinsu is ambitious that she remains on the Demon Realm along with her brother Degesu, unlike other Glinds, who choose to travel outside the Demon Realm. At some point she became a genius scientist for the Supreme Demon King for both Dabura and Gomah.
During Vegeta's fight against Fat Buu, she ventured to Universe 7 Earth to collect Buu's residues.
At some point, she hired Glorio for his service, which was to bring Goku and his friends to Demon Realm to gather their realm’s Dragon Balls.
Dragon Ball Daima[]
After Gomah and Degesu watch the events of battles against Marin Buu and Dabura’s death, Dr. Arinsu approaches them and congratulates Gomah on being the new Demon King. She also mentions that she will continue receiving funds for her research as much like Gomah’s predecessor, Dabura. She also manipulates Gomah into believing that the Z Fighter will invade the Demon Realm causing him and Degesu to go to Earth to use their Dragon Balls to turn them into children.
Throughout the story, she continues to get reports from Glorio on the progress of getting the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, she and Marba created first Majin, made with Arinsu's salvia, Majin Buu's remains, and a Saibamen seed, called Majin Kuu in hope of defeating Tamagami Number 1. However, it fails as Majin Kuu could not defeat him, so he forfeit his fight. She and Marba had to create a second Majin called Majin Duu. Majin Duu was able to defeat Tamagami Number 1. However, Doctor Arinsu did not anticipate Tamagami Number 1's final test, which is to solve a math problem in at a very high speed that she cannot read quickly. However, Majin Kuu was able to keenly understand the problem and gave the answer to Majin Duu to answer to Tamagmai Number 1 to win the One-Star Demon Realm Dragon Ball, much to her delight.
When the Dragon Team arrived to challenge Tamagami Number 1, she showed up with Majin Kuu and Majin Duu with a Dragon Ball in their possession. As they are ready to fight for the Dragon Balls, they were interrupted by Gomah, who was wearing the Evil Third Eye, and using his power to manipulate the Demon Realm. Seeing how dangerous Gomah is, Arinsu agreed to team-up with the heroes to deal with Gomah. During the fight, she secretly ordered Glorio to take the other two Dragon Balls and summon the Demon Realm Porunga to make a wish for her to be powerful to rule over the Demon Realm. However, Glorio betrayed her by wishing for the Dragon Team to be turned back to normal. Despite her plan failing due to Glorio's betrayal, she chose to fire Glorio as he immediately thanked her for it.
Even when the Dragon Team were turned back to normal, they are still no match for Gomah as he continued to get stronger. She ordered Majin Kuu to get the spell book to find a way to stop the Evil Third Eye. When she found a spell, she informed the others on how to defeat Gomah, which was to hit him on the back head three times. Arinsu watched the fight against Gomah. When Goku, in his Super Saiyan 4 form, managed to injury Gomah, she told them now is the chance to remove the Evil Third Eye. While Piccolo failed to hit Gomah three times, Majin Kuu managed to succeed thus Gomah lost his Evil Third Eye and shrink back to his small size with Glorio destroying the eye. Arinsu and Marba sealed Gomah and Degesu in a urn for 99 years.
After all the crisis have been resolved, Shin suggested to her to be the next Demon Supreme King for having some good in her. However, Arinsu refused to take the position because she could have been overthrown for the position without the Dragon Ball power as there is a rule to becoming the Demon Supreme King. When Majin Kuu became the new Demon Supreme King, everyone was shocked by that revelation with Arinsu becoming more shocked with Kuu appointing her as the Vice-Supreme King as he appointed anyone for the minister position in the effort to make the Demon Realm a better place to live. While she remains ambitious, she agreed to Majin Kuu's plan.

- Glind Physiology: Dr. Arinsu belonged to the glind, a race of sentient humanoids native to the Second Demon World within the Demon Realm. Glind were born from fruits grown on a type of enormous tree known as a kaiju. Exceptionally rare and considered divine, glinds possessed natural capabilities that far exceeded most other lifeforms and had lifespans that allowed average members of their kind to live for tens of thousands of years. They also did not require food to sustain themselves, instead relying solely on water to function.
- Energy Manipulation: All living beings naturally produced "ki," also known simply as "energy," a type of tangible energy that is considered the spiritual life force of the body. It is possible for lifeforms to consciously draw upon and manipulate their own internal supply of ki, allowing them to perform supernatural feats at the cost of temporarily expending a portion of their energy. Though certain ki manipulation techniques could sometimes be performed instinctively by individuals with great talent, it typically took extensive practice to master. Ki capacity could also be increased through training. Some species had a greater natural ki capacity than others, with glinds being one such race. Being inherently divine beings, glinds produced a special kind of ki known as "godly ki." Godly ki is superior to regular ki in purity and overall quality, and could not be detected by anyone incapable of employing godly ki themselves. Doctor Arinsu is a particularly powerful glind, having attained the title of Demon Supreme Kai.
