Past[]

~ Doom referring to the Skrulls during the Secret Invasion. |
Doom is first physically seen sending his Doombots to attack the Avengers Mansion and the Baxter Building as a distraction for the heroes, kidnapping the Wasp and the Invisible Woman to scan them for Skrull DNA. In order to get away with said kidnapping, Doom activates his Doombots to nearly detonate at the two buildings, which if successful would destroy half of New York City. Fortunately, the Avengers and Fantastic Four manage to disarm the Doombots before they detonate, after which they head to Latveria to rescue their kidnapped friends. After a long drawn-out battle with the heroes (which Doom was winning anyway), Doom finally decides to let Wasp and Invisible Woman go, having already deduced the latter being a Skrull imposter. Before leaving Latveria, Iron Man destroys Doom's genetic scanner in a fit of anger.
Later, Doom visits Tony Stark's house, giving him a genetic key to expose the Skrulls' true forms, that way Tony can fight off the aliens so Doom doesn't have to get his own hands dirty. After the villain leaves, Tony tells J.A.R.V.I.S. he might wanna add Doom to the Christmas card list later for helping. When the Purple Man takes over the world through Iron Man, Doom is shown via cameo on a computer screen, fighting Iron Man's drones. His fate afterwards is left unknown.
