Doctor Doubler (ドクターダブラー Dokutā Daburā) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 34. He is a Doubler who kidnapped and brainwash many people into working for Makuu in order to acquire gold, jewelries and weapons for them.
He is voiced by late Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Volcano Mask General Magman in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Shine in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Führer Taboo in Dai Sentai Goggle V, and Lu-Long, Parchis, Demost and Silver Shark in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. His human form was portrayed by Hiroshi Tachikawa.
Biography[]
That night, the Doctor Doubler (with a human doctor in disguise) and the Double Girl are kidnapping the jewelry store manager named Hiroshi Iwai and brainwashed him by removing his memories to have him work for Makuu. The next morning, they bring Mr. Iwai to the jewelry store to have him steal all of the jewelries for Makuu before they caught one of Gavan's allies Yoichi watching the act and proceed to remove the rest of his memories from present, which led to him to not knowing if his parents were alive or not. After witnessing Mr. Iwai getting arrested, the Doubler went to attack Retsu/Gavan after the Crushers in disguise ambushed him when he was following him before San Dorva ordered him to retreat. Back to Makuu Castle, the Doubler and San Dorva reported to Don Horror about what happened and telling him that they can use the machine to brainwash people into working for Makuu and have them give them anything what they want.
At some point, the Doubler also kidnaps the defense force captain and brainwashed him into working for Makuu and giving them all weapons as well. With the help of amnesiac Yoichi, Retsu managed to infiltrate the Science Medical Center building where he almost fell for the Doubler's trap as he attempt to remove all his memories and have him work for Makuu like Iwai, but he managed to break free from the machine's control with his will power. After Retsu transforming into Gavan, he went to fought against the Doubler before they were dragged into Makuu Space. After ambushing Gavan from behind while riding on Cyberian, the Doubler gains the upperhand on him before leading the fighters into firing at him, which Gavan had to call upon Dol and Gavion for a backup. Finally, Gavan finished the Doubler off with Gavan Dynamic.
