Dr. Ferrara (Japanese: ツララー博士 Tsuraraa-hakase), also known as Cryogonal Man (Japanese: フリージ男 Freege Man), is the leader of Team Vanillite, a criminal gang operating out of Driftveil City. He appears in the episode “The Mighty Accelguard to the Rescue!” (BW057), where he plots to conquer the Unova region using frozen food to befriend and enlist Ice-type Pokémon
History[]
Dr. Ferrara launches coordinated raids on cold storage warehouses across Unova with his Team Vanillite henchmen, stealing frozen goods to lure Vanillite into his cause. When Linda investigates, he captures her and reveals his alter ego, Cryogonal Man, donning a Cryogonal-themed mask. He confronts the heroes—Ash and Accelguard (Charles)—deploying Vanillite Pokémon in battle. In the climax, he unveils a Vanillish to clash with Accelgor, but despite its powerful Ice-type moves like Icicle Spear and Sheer Cold, it's defeated by Accelgor’s speed and attacks. Dr. Ferrara is subsequently knocked out and arrested by Officer Jenny.
