Doctor Mengele, full name Josef Rudolf Mengele, is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Nimdok) in the 1995 horror video game I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, based on the 1967 short story of same name by the late Harlan Ellison. He, alongside Nimdok, were responsible for the creation of the youth serum that AM uses to keep the five main humans alive forever.
He was voiced by Samuel Fenn.
Biography[]
Doctor Mengele first appears in Nimdok's story, telling him to get to work on the surgery of the boy.
After awakening the golem, Nimdok has the option to use it on Mengele, killing him. Nimdok can also use the mirror on Mengele, to effectively paralyze him. Nimdok can also use the golem on Mengele after paralyzing him.
Even if Nimdok chooses not to kill Mengele, he will die in the Good Ending of the game after the pocket dimension AM created of Nimdok's scenario explodes when AM is defeated.
It is possible for an event where Mengele remains alive, however, if Nimdok spares him, and then chooses to side with AM. In this scenario, it is most likely that Mengele would continue to assist Nimdok in the production of more youth serum solutions, along with possibly more new inventions.
