Doctor Polter is the scientist and chief executive of the Space Crime Syndicate Madou, serving as second-in-command to Demon King Psycho, and the secondary antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Sharivan. She is the one in charge of drawing Sharivan and the Earth into the Genmu World each episode as a means to power up the Makai Beasts of Madou.
She was portrayed by Hitomi Yoshioka, who also played as Monica in Uchuu Keiji Gavan.
History[]
After General Gyrer's advance attack against Sharivan failed, Doctor Polter appeared to criticize him for wasting resources when they were on a strict timeline to invade Earth. Demon King Psycho then declared that they must send forth a Makai Beast to crush any opposition in their way. After Gori Beast was created and sent down to Earth to fight Sharivan, Demon King Psycho instructed Polter to draw Earth into the Genmu World, where the Beast's power would be amplified by 4. Doctor Polter thus gave the order for the Genmu World-Generating Machine to be activated so Sharivan and the Makai Beast could be brought to the Genmu World.
Following Gori Beast's destruction, the next Makai Beast to be sent out was Ei Beast. After the beast challenged Sharivan, Polter again, on Psycho's order, activated the World-Generating Machine to drag Sharivan and the Makai Beast into the Genmu World.
Polter was later displaced from her position as high commander of the Madou forces by Reider after he arrived and impressed by using his illusory powers to weaken Sharivan. However, she later regained her position when Reider failed to finish of Sharivan and was suspended from duty.
To regain his position, Reider sought to play Polter and Gyrer against each other. Through his mystical abilities, Reider convinced Gyrer that he would make a better army commander than Polter and gave him ambitions of usurping her, while at the same time making Polter paranoid that Gyrer was trying to overthrow her. After Gyrer got drunk and stormed Psycho's throne room to confront Polter, Gyrer was thrown in the Madou dungeon by Psycho. Fearing that Gyrer could still come after her, Polter sent Miss Demon 1 and 2 to murder Gyrer in his sleep. Gyrer anticipated this and fought them off once they entered his cell before going to confront Polter again. It was at that point that Demon King Psycho, tiring of Gyrer's antics, turned him into a statue to hold up the throne of Madou, where his chosen successor would sit.
Polter immediately began seeking to be the one to sit in the throne, rivaling with Reider to do so. After Reider was able to win back his spot in Madou, Polter began competing with him to be the one to defeat Sharivan and conquer Earth. To sabotage Polter, Reider tormented her with dreams of past Makai Beasts that had been slain by Sharivan. As Polter began seeking to alleviate these night terrors, Reider advised her to construct an alter and sacrifice children to appease the spirits of the dead Beasts. Gyrer also later was freed from holding up the Madou throne, giving Polter another rival.
With the discovery that the Iga Crystal was on Earth, Demon King Psycho declared that whoever brought the crystal to him first would be his successor. Despite Polter's best efforts, Reider would ultimately be the one to bring the Iga Crystal to Psycho while Gyrer died holding off Sharivan, leading Reider to be anointed by the Demon King as his successor. Still seeking to prove herself, Polter asked Psycho to give her the mission of eliminating Sharivan, though Psycho curiously assigned it to Reider instead. After Reider left with Gamagon to deal with Sharivan, Psycho revealed to Polter that he knew of Reider's ambitions of overthrowing him and only sent him after Sharivan to get him out of the way. He then ordered Polter to construct a device to extract energy from the Iga Crystal, telling her they would have no more use for Reider once it was finished. To spy on Reider, Polter sent Miss Demon 2 sfter him, but Reider caught on and had Gamagon devour her. While Gamagon fought Sharivan, Reider stormed the Genmu Castle and struck down Psycho before declaring himself the new ruler of Madou and ordering Polter to finish the device for him. However, Psycho then revived through his extension Psychorror and killed Reider, freeing Polter from his influence.
When Sharivan and Gavan stormed the Genmu Castle, Doctor Polter and Miss Demon 1 confronted them. Polter was slain by Sharivan at the same time Gavan destroyed Miss Demon 1, with them both exploding before Psycho.
