Doctor Z is the main antagonist of Season 1 of Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger. He is the true leader of the Marketing Firm B and the creator of Malshina and Delu-Knight.
He was portrayed by Kazuki Yao. Who also Voiced Hades Ultimate God Drake in Mahou Sentai Magiranger
Biography[]
Doctor Z was once Takehiro Tsuzuki, a brilliant and respected scientist who quit his job to become a mangaka, as well as the father of Hiroyo Hakase and Takuma Tsuzuki. He was able to get hired as the lead character designer for the anime Z-Cune Aoi, but after his darker vision for the show was rejected in favor of a more light-hearted one, Tsuzuki quit and vowed revenge, becoming Doctor Z and founding the Marketing Firm B to take over all of Akihabara.
He first appears in the disguise of a homeless man and is able to obtain one of Yumeria Moegi's business cards, which he gives to Malshina. Later on, Doctor Z lifts his disguise and steps out into the open, revealing himself as the true leader of Marketing Firm B. As part of the retool being forced on the show by the producers, Doctor Z renamed Marketing Firm B the "Delusion Empire" to turn them into a more conventional Super Sentai villain faction.
However, after the Akibarangers attempted to push back on these changes, the show was cut down to 13 episodes and Delu-Knight betrayed and seemingly killed Doctor Z and Malshina in order to force a final battle with the Akibarangers. After the Akibarangers accidentally defeated Delu-Knight, Doctor Z turned up alive and attempted to reunite with his daughter. Hiroyo was reluctant at first as it would bring the show closer to its conclusion, but she was urged into doing so by the Akibarangers, who assured her they wouldn't let the show end just yet.
In Season Tsuu, the first season of Akibaranger is retconned in the recap in the first episode, with Doctor Z being removed from the Marketing Firm B's origin and Malshina and Delu-Knight instead being made out to be the only leaders of the group.

- His design is based off of Doctor Man, the main antagonist from Choudenshi Bioman. This is referenced in the show by Nobuo, who calls him a "Showa-style final boss".
