Dolph the Destroyer is a villain in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. He is the heir to the throne of the master of monsterkind, and is one of Randolfo's three sons along with Ludo and Psaro.
His servants are the Quad Squad.
Appearance[]
He is the least human in appearance of all of Randolfo's children, as his mother was a monster (presumably an ogre) instead of a human or an elf.
Personality[]
Out of all of Randolfo’s children, he is the one who best matches his father in personality, being a warlord who poses a serious threat to humanity. This is reflected by him being heir to the throne. He is also arrogant as he believes himself to be unstoppable.
However, he is willing to reward his followers if they serve him well. It is also implied that unlike his brothers, he is loyal to his father, as Aamon did not attempt to manipulate him into turning against Randolfo as he did Psaro.
History[]
Dolph the Destroyer first appears searching for the Hero. He eventually discovered the Chosen One’s village and led his monsters to attack it under the identity of Psaro to pin the blame on him. When he fails to integrate the location of Solo out of the villagers, he had his monsters slaughter the village. At some point one of his monsters seems to have killed Solo. Satisfied with the result, Dolph left, unaware that he had been tricked by the villagers to save the hero.
Aamon attempts to use him to destroy Randolfo using the Secret of Evolution, but Randolfo sees through the plan and Dolph kills Aamon instead.
He is later fought in the Conquerer's Keep along with two Alarmours. He manages to separate Psaro from his companions (which leads to him being helpless due to his curse), but he is slain by Solo.
