~ Doma shortly before burning Agni's village down. |
Doma is the secondary antagonist of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga series Fire Punch.
He was a soldier from the Behemdolg Army who had the blessing of producing a never-ending fire that, once it hits something, will not stop burning until the thing is destroyed or dies. Doma conducted an operation on the village where Agni and Luna lived and, upon finding out about their cannibalism practices, burns the entire place down using his powers. The only survivor is Agni, who manages to survive the fire through sheer willpower and his regeneration abilities. Doma then becomes Agni's archnemesis and is his primary target on his quest for revenge.
Appearance[]
Doma is a tall man with seemingly blonde hair combed sideways. He mostly appears in his military uniform which consists in a black turtleneck shirt covered with a vest full of pockets, as well as black military pants with boots. He also wears a white cape around his neck.
As an old man, Doma has now longer, shaggy hair combined with a beard. Due to no longer being a soldier, he does not wear his uniform anymore and now wears a warm shirt covered by a coat with black pants and fuzzy boots.
Personality[]

A now senile Doma begging for Agni's forgiveness.
Much like his fellow citizens of Behemdolg, Doma was indoctrinated with the belief that certain people should not be considered human, but rather simply "fuel". He's also not afraid of killing people he deems lesser than him, as he burns down Agni's village with no remorse whatsoever. According to Judah, however, Doma did have some good in him, as he was a righteous man who opened a school in order to take care of several kids.
After the years had passed, Doma's mental health worsened and he became a bit more gentle and understanding because of that. He now seems remorseful and regretful for his actions and even asks Agni's forgiveness in their second encounter.
Biography[]

Doma finding out that the supposed footage of "God" shown to the citizens of Behemdolg as part of their indoctrination were mere movies.
Doma was one of the founding members of Behemdolg. His goal was to kill the "Ice Witch" that put the world in its freezing state and because of this, he assisted in the construction of Behemdolg.
He originally went around the world finding small colonies of humans in order to find supplies such as gasoline and food as well as to either invite their inhabitants to live in Behemdolg or enslave them. This was the case for Agni's village, which received a visit from him during one of his many escapades. In there, he has a talk with Agni himself and asks him and his village to come to live in the Behemdolg settlement, to which he declines. Doma's team ends up finding out the pieces of Agni and Luna's meat in the villagers' homes and find out that they were cannibals. Upon learning about this, Doma declares that they "weren't human" and burns the entire village down using his eternal fire blessing. The only survivor of the incineration is Agni, who, now eternally covered with Doma's fire, develops a hatred for him and goes on a revenge quest to find him and kill him.
Much like all of the other Behemdolg citizens, Doma was indoctrinated by watching movies that were claimed to be footage of their "God". One day he finds out the truth behind his indoctrination by stumbling upon a DVD of a movie he recognized watching as part of his training, leading to him going through an existential crisis and burning down the entire movie gallery.
Years later, Doma is now mentally ill and has now left the military. He meets Agni once again after the Behemdolg army captures him and San in the middle of a blizzard. After recognizing Doma, Agni tries to kill him, but Doma manages to dodge his attacks and doesn't get caught up in his fire. He desperately tries to apologize and begs for his forgiveness, which Agni declines, shortly before being beheaded once more and held captive by Behemdolg.
Doma is later on seen inside of a jail cell, possibly due to his worsening mental condition, where he's visited by Judah and Togata, an amateur film director who was producing a film about Agni's quest for revenge in which he would be the main antagonist. Upon seeing his pathetic and pitiful state, Togata gives up on the idea of making Doma a major antagonist and instead, opts to have three of Judah's blessed prisoners fighting Agni in his public execution. After Behemdolg is completely destroyed by the hands of Agni, Doma is supposedly killed and burned to death alongside the rest of the city.

Doma's death.
It's later on revealed that Doma has actually survived the destruction of Behemdolg and managed to escape alongside some other soldiers. Doma moves to a base alongside a group of children that he starts taking care of. Upon finding out about this, Agni and Togata both find a way to go to his hideout. There, Agni finds Doma fishing on ice and has a talk with him where the ex-soldier explains that he burned Agni's village down in order to protect nearby villages since their cannibalistic attitude could lead to the potential death of other humans. He mentions his indoctrination training and how he burned down the movies in a fit of rage. This enrages Togata, who was fascinated by the movie collection. Togata snaps at him and begs Agni to kill him. After this alerts Domas' children, who go out to protect him, Agni gives up on killing him, seeing that he couldn't bear the thought of his death if it meant the ill of a group of children.
Eventually, Agni ends up changing his mind and decides to "become Fire Punch". On this state of blind rage, Agni goes on a rampage on Doma's base, killing all of the children present by incinerating every single one of them. Doma tries to intervene, but Agni impales him with his fist. After snapping out of it, Agni watches as an impaled Doma screams in agony as he slowly burns into a carbonized corpse.
Powers and Abilities[]
Doma's fire blessing.
- Incineration: Doma's blessing allows him to produce a special kind of fire from his hands that, once it catches up on something, will continue burning until the thing or person is completely destroyed or dies. The fire cannot be put out in any way, not even with water. This is the same kind of fire that Agni, the series' protagonist, carries on his body, which he uses to also burn whoever touches him;
