~ Donald's proposed speech at the Paramount Theater, as read by George |
Donald O'Brien is the overarching antagonist of the Seinfeld episode "The Limo". He is a controversial writer and the spokesman of a neo-nazi organization known as "The Aryan Union". O'Brien's identity was stolen by George Costanza who used it to get a ride home on his limosine.
History[]
O'Brien was an anonymous Chicago writer who became famous within neo-nazi circles due to his antisemitic views and admiration for Adolf Hitler. He was most well-known for his newsletter and his book, The Game, which advocated for the violent overthrow of the government in order to "save the oppressed white minority communities". Due to his status, he would become the leader of the midwestern regional chapter of Aryan Union, a neo-nazi group whose existence was publicly scorned even by other white supremacists, such as David Duke.
O'Brien remained in the shadows for a long time, and his face was unknown even by his own supporters. He eventually slated to make his first public appearance at the Paramount Theater in New York, however, his embark was delayed due to his flight getting overbooked. He was seen in the Chicago airport by Jerry, fighting with the staff to no avail. After arriving in New York, Jerry meets George at the airport, whose car had broken the way there, leaving both of them stranded. Jerry points at the chaffeur who was supposed to pick up O'Brien, recalling that the real O'Brien couldn't take the flight back in Chicago. The two end up taking the chauffeur, with George posing as O'Brien and Jerry as "Dylan Murphy". Jerry and George take a ride home on O'Brien's limosine alongside two of his followers, Eva and Tim.
After picking up Elaine and Kramer to go on the Knicks game at the Madison Square Garden, the real O'Brien calls from the phone on the limo explaining his absense to Eva. Eva and Tim draw their guns at the four friends and demand to know who they are as the limo arrives at the Paramount Theater, which was filled with protesters. As they are exiting the car, the media identifies George as O'Brien and tries to interview him as he desperately tries to tell them he's not him.
