~ Homer Simpson on Trump's presidency. |
Donald John Trump is the 45th president of The United States of America. Prior to his presidency, he was a businessman and real estate developer, who hosted a reality show called The Apprentice. He has been featured as a villain several times in The Simpsons.
In most of his appearances, he is voiced by Dan Castellaneta, who also voices Itchy, the Blue-Haired Lawyer, The Devil, Louie, Frankie the Squealer, Count Dracula, the villainous version of Groundskeeper Willie featured in Treehouse of Horror VI, and Krusto D. Clown in the same series, as well as The Robot Devil in Futurama, Megavolt in Darkwing Duck, Evil Jim in Earthworm Jim, The Wickersham Brothers in Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!, and Ventriloquist and Scarface in The Batman. However, several of his appearances use voice clips from his actual self, technically making it so that he was voiced by the real Donald Trump in these appearances.

- In "Bart to the Future", which aired in 2000, a flash forward to the future jokes that Donald Trump had become the president and bankrupt the country. It's rumored that The Simpsons "predicted the future" with this joke but as quoted in a interview, by Dan Greaney, (the guy who came up with the joke himself), this was simply an offhand gag, poking fun at Trump for bankrupting his casinos and hotels but of course, following Trump's presidency in the real world in 2016, this joke has evolved and developed a whole new meaning.
- In the 2016 episode, "Havana Wild Weekend", (which was the first episode to air after Trump was elected president), The Simpsons broke the fourth wall to address this "prediction", by having Bart's chalkboard gag read "Being right sucks."
- A running gag in the show is for Trump's hair to be revealed to actually be a Yorkshire terrier sitting on his head.
