Donatra is a minor character in the film Star Trek: Nemesis.

She was portrayed by Dina Meyer, who also portrayed Elissa McClain in CSI: Miami, Sally Larkin in Monk and Kristen Richards in Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough.

Biography[]

Donatra was a Romulan officer who served Shinzon in the aftermath of his coup. She was among a group of Romulan officers who met with him to discuss his plan to attack the Federation. Shinzon spoke to Donatra privately, asking her opinion of the loyalty of Commander Suran and telling her to keep an eye on him. Donatra behaved in a seductive manner towards Shinzon, asking what a woman should do to prove her loyalty, only for Shinzon to violently reject her advances, saying she was not a woman but a Romulan and that he would kill her if she touched him again.

After the incident, Donatra became disillusioned with Shinzon, voicing doubts to Suran about the plan to wipe out all life on Earth. She commanded the Valdore, one of two Romulan Warbirds that went to assist the USS Enterprise in battle against Shinzon's Scimitar. However, the Valdore suffered damage during the battle putting it out of the fight. After the Scimitar had been destroyed, Donatra contacted the damaged Enterprise telling Picard she was sending over supplies and medical personnel.

According to both the novels and Star Trek Online, Donatra later became the leader of the breakaway Imperial Romulan State in opposition to her one-time ally Tal'aura, who had become leader of the Romulan Star Empire. In the novels, Donatra was eventually framed for an attempt to assassinate Ambassador Spock and died in her cell, apparently suicide. In Star Trek Online, she went missing during the Romulan supernova and was eventually revealed to have been assimilated by the Borg.
