Dooley is a supporting antagonist in the Woody Woodpecker Show. He is one of many characters who served as Woody's foil, replacing Buzz Buzzard for a while before being replaced himself by Gabby Gator and Miss Meany.
He was voiced by the late Dallas McKennon, who is replaced by the late Daws Butler on his final appearance. Dooley also appears in the New Woody Woodpecker Show, where he's voiced by Jim Cummings.
His full name is Dapper Denver Dooley, but he is mainly called Dooley. He is often depicted as a Wild West outlaw, but also starred in other roles such as a sailor and a bartender. He loves to look menacing and to rob money, trying everything he can to achieve his goals. Over his time, he had many jobs (including a court jester), but one thing was the same, whenever he was vanquished by Woody, he would usually burst into tears. Dooley is given a completely new design in the New Woody Woodpecker Show, appearing much younger and losing his beard. There he's more consistently portrayed as con artist.
