Dorotabou is a cauliflower themed Minor Youkai who served the Youkai Army Corps and a supporting antagonist in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, serving as a minor antagonist in the 4th episode and the main antagonist of the 9th episode.
He was played and voiced by Akira Matsumura.

Dorotabou was an egotistical Youkai who wanted to emulate the Saviour Samurai and became violently obsessed with the character.
Biography[]
Past[]
Dorotabou first came to be when humanity's negative emotions physically manifested and formed thier own group under the leadership of the most powerful of thier kind; Daimaou. Six thousand years ago, Dorotabou was among the army of Yokai who attacked Ninjaman whilst he defended a village. Oonyuudou was evidently able to escape alive but Ninjaman was banished by the Three God Generals as he slaughtered his entire village after mistaking them for Yokai.
Dorotabou was ultimately among the Yokai who managed to avoid being sealed behind the Seal Door by the Ancient Kakurangers but was reduced to a human form when the Yo Power was sealed with Daimaou.
Kakuranger[]
By 1994, Dorotabou has evolved into a more cauliflower form by the time that the Yo Power is released by Kappa.
Dorotabou is amongst the Youkai seen at Azukairai's underground party to celebrate his capture of four of the Kakurangers. When Sasuke poses as a Youkai and manages to free his friends, Dorotabou joins the battle before escaping when the Kakurangers pursue Azukairai outside.
After the deaths of Nurikabe and Mokumokuren, Dorotabou is seen watching Keukegen dance in the Youkai Mansion for other Youkai after the Announcer reminds the audience that they are just two of many Youkai still out there.
Dorotabou is amongst the Youkai seen at Oonyuudou's party to celebrate miniaturising an entire town for himself to play with.
Dorotabou develops an interest in modern television and wishes to become a famous TV actor and is first seen watching a movie about the Saviour Samurai. He later appears whilst a TV crew are filming a review of a ramen shop and acts out the part of the Saviour Samurai only to be confronted by Jiraya and Saizou (who were in the crowd) and end up defeating Dorotabou. When he tries and fails to hijack a weather broadcast, he assumes his true form and attacks Jiraya and Saizou so they morph and cut down the Youkai only for him to injure a man by flinging mud-balls. Angered, Jiraya cuts down Dorotabou and the Youkai flees before he can be slashed again.
Due to thier heroic actions though, Jiraya and Saizou end up on television which infuriates Dorotabou who decides to kill them and prove himself better than them so that he can be the famous one. Finding the two Kakurangers in the street, he attacks people with his mud-balls and destroys buildings to try and draw cameras but only gets the Kakurangers. Although he manages to escape and continue rampaging, he sees Jiraya and a girl on a television game-show so crashes it once they win whereupon Jiraya challenges him to a championship fight to prove who is the best and Dorotabou accepts. Setting up in a cage in the quarry, they fight with Jiraya winning all three rounds; karate, sword fighting, and boxing with the final punch sending him flying through the electric fence. Enraged, Dorotabou grows giant sized so the Kakurangers summon the Giant Beast Fighters. Dorotabou tries to obliterate them but Black Gammer punches him down and injures him with the Gammer Sandstorm before they form Muteki Shogun. Dorotabou charges at it but is immediately killed by the Blazing Shogun Sword.
Dorotabou is recalled by the Announcer whilst recapping the Kakurangers' war against the Yokai during his feature on the Kakurangers.
Dorotabou is heard, along with all the other defeated Yokai, behind the Seal Door after Daimaou is finally sealed away by the Kakurangers. Reeling that they are now powerless in captivity, the Yokai all vow that they will one day be reborn and regain their power, cursing humanity.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Dorotabou knocked down Jiraya and Saizou with single punches and was able to pick up and throw the two by thier necks.
- Durability: Dorotabou was unhurt by being fried by a high voltage electric fence and multiple slashes from Jiraya's katana.
- Longevity: Dorotabou survived for at least six thousand years with no side effects.
- Human Form: Dorotabou could assume the form of an overweight man by dancing fading in and out of existence.
- Expert Fighter: Dorotabou was able to fight and defeat Saizou and Jiraya with his bare hands.
- Excellent Martial Artist: Dorotabou was a skilled karate fighter, able to perfectly match Jiraya in hand to hand combat.
- Excellent Swordsman: Dorotabou was skilled with a katana, able to match Jiraya blow for blow.
- Teleportation: Dorotabou could teleport to any location at will by crossing his arms and vanishing into thin air.
- Skilled Boxer: Dorotabou was a skilled boxer, being able to match Jiraya in a match.
- Eye Blasts: Dorotabou could fire powerful green lasers from his eyes. These were strong enough to cause large explosions, obliterate buildings, and take down all five Kakurangers with one hit.
- Energy Streak: Dorotabou could move around an area rapidly in a green energy streak.
- Energy Blasts: Dorotabou could gesture his right hand to his face and fire an invisible energy blast from his palm.
- Yokai Lightning Cloud Summoning: Dorotabou was able to summon the Yokai Lightning Cloud to enlarge himself with its Yo Power.
Arsenal[]
- Fists: Dorotabou had no weapons of his own by default but was a skilled fighter.
- Katana: Dorotabou wielded a steel katana when Jiraya and Saizou interrupted his showboating as well as his duel against Jiraya.
- Muddy Balls: Dorotabou could generate and throw balls of mug with enough force to knock a man down the stairs.
- Shuriken: Dorotabou threw shuriken at Jiraya during thier sword fight but they were all deflected.
