"Only the Crotons are trained to operate their spaceships so I must have Sahala under my control. To do that I must have Doctor Russell remove the neuro-pulsonic jammer."
~ Dorzak revealing his plans.

Dorzak is the titular main antagonist of the episode of the same name from the show Space 1999. He is a poet turned warmonger from the psychon world who is imprisoned on the alien Sahala's ship. Now that an opportunity has presented itself when he incites chaos within the ship he takes the chance to escape systematically.

He is portrayed by Lee Montague.

Biography[]

Background[]

Dorzak was a psychon poet who was beloved by his people for his charisma and philosophy before their world was blown to cinders. Unknown to him he didn't predict another survivor Maya existed, therefore he now set his goals on a new escapade. Tired of the pacifistic society he lived in, he spread his sadistic thoughts through chaos causing war and genocide via incitement throughout the Croton system.

Thus he was finally captured for his vile nature by Sahala and the other Croton aristocrats who frowned upon his disregard for a life. Furthermore, he was entrapped in stasis for the betterment of everyone. Until one of the Croton's maids fell in love with him and learned the hard way about his psychic powers that brainwashed her to turn against her crew. Freeing Dorzak and assaulting another Croton, killing her through induced blood force trauma. The lover was then put in a coma by the dead one and Dorzak entered further imprisonment by Sahala.

Arriving at the Alphan base[]

After the Alphans were on the brink of suspecting Sahala as a villain due to her xenophobic behavior to Psychons, they allowed Maya to see Dorzak as she believed him to be incorruptible. Seeing no harm in it she freed Dorzak who now used his charisma to manipulate Maya making it seem he was innocent by flattering her. Then he approached her about her shapeshifting. Creating relatability as survivors of a grave disaster but the Croton woman in a coma awoke but was in a state of madness seeing flashes of Dorzak driving her insane from within the comfort of his cell. She claimed Sahala was evil and the one behind her state and condition. Unfortunately, she soon passed from her injuries mental and physical.

In fact, Dorzak had accomplished this well thought out plan as they had taken out a chip which blocks his psychic influences on the brain. Now he was free and not considered a threat by most individuals on the Alphan base. Except after finding this chip embedded in Sahala, he had a plan for Dorzak to come clean by putting all cards on the table. For "Sahala" to meet him, Maya was recruited as a shapeshifter to convince her as well.

The trap[]

Dorzak alongside everyone saw the message that "Sahala" had broken out of detention and held the doctor Helena as a human shield. After boarding the transport tube and sending a threat toward the Alphans of imminent death, the crafty Dorzak agreed to the terms. Therefore, the exchange was made, and he was probed by Sahala but exposed her as Maya due to him subtly questioning why she was asking questions to which she should already know the answer to. Manipulating her further he lamented on her "betrayal" and then controlled her to impersonate himself and teach him how to shapeshift.

Therefore, by doing so he impersonated Maya and convinced everyone that the trap worked. Soon Helena was under his control so he could use Sahala to escape the Alpham base. Unfortunately, Tony caught on and wasn't controlled like Dorzak initially assumed. Finally, he was beat and imprisoned once again in a deep slumber.
