Dr. Agness is the main antagonist of "Lythop Liberation", the second episode of Monkey Wrench. She was a criminal who pretended to be a L.A.W. official and hired the Monkey Wrench for her agenda.
She was voiced by Laila Berzins, who also voiced Heat Wave in My Adventures with Superman, Ken Oyanagi in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, Misuzu in River City Girls, Saati in Paladins, and Lysil in Amphibia
Biography[]
Dr. Agness was determined to get her hands on the entire Lythop race, but the race already feared her. In order to capture them without suspicion, she posed as a L.A.W. scientist and hired mercenaries to capture the Lythops for her.
Her latest group, Shrike and Beebs, are led to believe that the Lythop's planet is going to explode in less than four hours. She sends the two off to gather the Lythops while being careful not to fully rouse their suspicion. This is especially the case with Beebs who finds the details of the mission odd along with the fact that Agness seems more concerned about being paid.
Eventually, the duo locate the Lythops and inform them all that they came to save them due to the planet imploding soon. As soon as they deliver the Lythops to Agness though, she reveals she was actually wanting the Lythops for their durable properties, dropping them all into a grinder and absorbing them into her chair.
Beebs then figures out that Agness was never actually part of L.A.W. science. Agness, in response, congratulates the boys for bringing her enough energy to use the elements and opts to reward them by killing them. The duo fight, but the Lythop energy that Agness wield renders her armor too tough for them to even dent. The most that Beebs is able to do is knock her around some, but even he ends up outclassed. As Shrike is knocked flat on his face, Agness notices the crystal in his head. Interested, Agness prepares to dissect him only to be stopped by the Lythop who was hiding in Shrike's uniform. Agness notices the crystal on the Lythop and realizes that Shrike can destroy her armor, prompting her to step it up.
At first, she still manages to get the upper hand, but Beebs recovers and knocks her into the air, rendering her vulnerable for Shrike to slice her cruiser in half. Agness is then arrested by L.A.W. for her crimes with the Monkey Wrench duo being awarded a 400k bounty on her.
